The Ganzo 806 has set a the bar high for 2023 ( 2022 purchase )
This is why I love cheaper knives that perform well and despise expensive knives that don't perform .
It's one thing to buy a cheap knife and get a cheap knife , it's just a kick in the Nadds when you buy a expensive knife and you get a cheap knife ( performs like ) .

Bought a Kershaw Manifold on clearance for $9.95 as a beater. All steel construction, 3.5 inch 4CR14MOV blade, assisted framelock running on teflon. Nothing special in the spec department, but I was blown away by the quality here! Blade is dead center, sharp out of the box, it locks up at about 45% and is rock solid. Not a bit of blade play in any direction.

For ten bucks I'd put this up against any gas station knife you want to throw my way.

Ah - not surprised as he’s a fan of the Tuff Lite too!

I’ve been thinking about getting him to do a flat grind on another one for me (he’s done those in the past for others I believe).

Buck 110lt. 19 dollars at Walmart. I got it the day after an eventful day on the boat and decided to retire the 110 mu brother gave me. I fitted it out with a thumb stud. It’s a great knife for the price. You can’t go wrong.

I need a buck 110 like I need a hole in the head. I have plenty of knives in that size with greater utility value. Yet... as many of those knives I have had, at $19, I would have bought another one even if it was just to give it away!
