Your daily carry knives

In the knife department I carry a XM-18 and a Swiss Army knife every day, I have several flavors of each. I also carry a fixed blade in my vehicle as well as a RMJ shrike in my patrol car

I carry a Case mini copperlock or Buck canoe in my front pocket, a Buck vantage in my back pocket recently, and a Buck 112 or Case trapper (as ground blade) on my belt.

Still looking for a replacement for the modern one handed opener....

I have to get some of these Case Ivy knives - that Peanut is stunning.

Case really need to get someone to take better photos for them - the actual knives are so much better than the pictures on their website.

I'm pretty much a ZT 0562cf, ZT 0550/551 or Hinderer 3" wharnie or 3.5" wharnie for my daily blade carry. I rotate through a variety of firearms depending on the need and the season.....my light choice also tends to vary depending on need.

First off, the pictures of your knives are amazing, Gary .My default knife of choice has changed several times over the years, but for the majority the past decade, it's been a ti-handled framelock. Currently, it's a LionSteel SR2 and it's paired up with a Victorinox Executive most of the time.

My EDC generally consisted of:

Victorinix SAK Executive
CRK small Insingo
Victorinix Swisstool Spirit
And sometimes my Victorinox Spartan w/mini-screwdriver comes along for the ride.

As long as it's legally permitted, I always carry either a Spyderco Dragonfly (clip removed) or a Case Peanut and one other, larger knife.

The knives I carry often change daily. There are some things that never change though. I always have these on me: Juice CS4, Preon 1, Uzi pen with glass breaker, and my Glock 26. That said, if I am at the gym or in the water I won't carry the previous but will have a Salt knife of some sort on me.

I've got a lengthy hospital stay coming up and that means pajama pants and a very lightweight folder. Which means I finally have a really good excuse to pick up an SE Pacific Salt.

Sucks about the hospital stay but  for a new knife and the salt line is fantastic. Which one are you looking at?

Pacific Salt SE with yellow FRN. I like bigger folders, but I figured something bright and friendly so the hospital staff don't yell at me too much.

Nice day carry Gary, those have lots of character.

Wish I had nice knives to carry, i tend to carry simple but good enough knives.

I work at 2 sushi bars for my employer, so I carry my chef knives eith me. But I don't think that counts as daily carry hehe.

Great thread Gary. I carry an Alox Classic SD on my truck keys, Minichamp in a homebrew "sheath" made from heat-shrink tubing on my keychain and either a Case, Buck or Northfield stockman or trapper in my pocket.

Really nice guys, I'm liking the set that I narrowed down to, as I say in my 'manbag' there is the Swiss Army Tool, I like it a lot better than the Leatherman, had one of those for a very long time now. What I am using as what one lady at work called it my purse...:( lol is a Craftsman two pocket zippered pouch. Very handy one side has electronic gizmo's cables, phone and iPod classic and the other has the Swiss Army tool, a set of torx wrenches, a couple more of the larger/more tools SAK like the Tinker and Mechanic for odds and ends but it's rare that I end up using those, but you never know!

And of course flashlight(s) always need a good flashlight. I had a streamlight but recently moved to a Thorfire AAA one that I like a lot, battery life is short if used on the higher output but it really throws a nice beam of light.

I would have to go with an Endura ffg, Bm grip or mini grip, Ritter mini grip, Spyderco Squeak & serrated Vic Spartan. Using a ffg Delica for work. Sometimes a Kershaw Skyline or Link. It varies. But the Squeak & Vic has more pocket time off work. Gary

Jackknife, are those Christys pretty sturdy? Do they open and close with purpose?
