Your daily carry knives

I tend to carry mainly multi-blade slipjoints, (one of which is always a 4 blade scout/utility knife) and a Buck 110, or an Old Timer 7OT lockback.
My "normal" EDC is three knives and two multi-tools.

There is a utilitarian and practical half of my brain that leads me to carry a small SAK plus a small folder (like a Delica) for quicky deployment. I'm pretty much prepared for any suburban task with those. And then there is the "I want to feel good" half that urges me to carry titanium and S35VN steel. My utilitarian side usually prevails, though not always.

I am part Carl, part G2 and part CM. That's about as good as it gets. I think I'll reward myself with a Christy knife.

Nice EDC guys!

and powernoodle, good thoughts, during the day the majority of my cutting chores at work fall to the fancy Peanut, while anything that needs quick attention gets the Sea Eagle and that is proving to be an excellent carry!

I was going to sell off the Opinel but to get any interest it would have had to sell for far less than I paid, so it just didn't make any sense and later on glad that I gave it some more pocket time, it's a great food knife and works well for that and you never feel it's weight while carrying it either.

My daily carry and work pocket knife is a first generation I believe Cold Steel Voyager 5" blade folder made in Japan. Before that one I used a Benchmade folder with about the same length blade that was ATS 34 but the blade was much softer than the Cold steel Voyager as it would not keep an edge nearly as well as the Cold Steel Voyager and then I also use a CRKT Carson Design M16-04 also a First Generation 4" Tanto Style folder that again the blade holds a much better edge than the Benchmade knife made of ATS-34. For that reason I do not recommend Benchmade knives to anyone that actually wish to use them lol.

My EDC lately, Dan Wesson ECO .45ACP, Marfione custom carbon fiber anax and some form of Red Wing boot.

Those last two are pretty slick folders there!

On my Sea Eagle, I changed out the lanyard, I had it passing through the end hole but that made the end of the knife a lot thicker than I liked, so I saw there was JUST enough room around the spacer on the end to wrap the paracord around, using a whipping knot to help keep the cord from wandering into the path of the blade makes it work much nicer. The first knot is to aid in retrieval from the pocket, hooking my pinky around the diamond knot, or while sitting you can just locate the cord and pull the knife clear of the pocket pretty easily. And if you are in a high traffic area, read possible chance of knife being pulled out without your knowledge, you can loop the lanyard around your belt or belt loop and drop the knife through the lanyard for a very secure carry.

Here is what I had in my pockets today.

Honestly, I think one got missed in this photo. (There was a TC Barlow in my pocket.

EDC today is Vic Classic on keys, modified blue ZDP Stretch RFP, Vic Tinker in RRP. Stretch gets rotated with smurf blue PM2. In dress pants I carry one of my Delicas mostly.

Of all the ones i posted that get the most time in my rotation, i can say that My most common set up, on a typical day, just got home from work and threw on sweats and a hoodie, no where special to go and just your standard errands to run.

-OD green Blur in the pocket as my go-to blade
-OD green (ss) Mora Companion for any "serious" task I encounter.
-cheap black/gray Ridge Runner lady leg for any small tasks;
(ie. cutting packaging tape or opening a bottle.)
+ the key chain camo SAK classic always handy for whatever...
*(SAK Huntsman or Leatherman Wingman is sometimes carried in place of lady leg depending on mood/circumstance).

Those are the 6 I don't even bother "putting away" really most days. All 6 are usually easily accessible sitting on the top of the dresser for convenient grab and go carry... None too special, but all fully functional for their required daily tasks covering all my blade basis throughout the day..

*right where I left 'em...

Inside waistband or in the pocket, both work fine. Who says you can not use this knife as an edc?

And allways a Wictorinox, either an alox version or with plastic cover.

The Dragonfly 2 is mainly for dressier pants. The Mini Ritter Grip is for shorts. Even with the custom scales it's still really light. The Manix 2 I use for camping and around the yard. The regular Ritter Grip and the ZT0562 share less and less time when I wear a pair of jeans due to the Sebenza making its way into the rotation this month. This is all the knives I own other than a work only Kershaw Camber. Probably going to get rid of the Mini Grip and the Dragonfly 2 and work a Small 21 into the rotation sometime after Christmas.

New here. Just reading through this thread.

In my pocket all the time: Buck 373. A small 3 blade pocket knife, useful for most needs.
Out on my boat: Buck 110 folder. Kept sharp and not used for anything else.
Fishing hunting camping or when I need a big knife: Marbles Ideal Knife. One of the first I owned, given to me in 1961 at age 16. Made sometime in the 50's. Still by far the best knife I have.
In the Car. In the side pocket a Victorinox Swiss Rescue Knife and a Buck tool.
In my back pack for hiking emergencies etc a Buck Hunter.
At home in the drawer next to my bed: Western Boot Dagger
In my tool Box: Two Electricians Knives (one by Colonial and one by Camillus)
Fishing tackle box: a very small Case XX two blade pocket knife. Good for cutting bait and fishing line.
Fileting fish: J. Martinni filet knife. Extremely sharp. I sliced a piece off my pinky finger the first time I used this and didn't even know it until I saw the blood. Now I am a lot more careful.

These are just the ones I use on a daily/weekly basis.

Nice Bradford Guardian 3 Damascus Flipper Mattal!!! I just got mine in the mail! Very well built knife, especially for the money, for a custom! Such a great grind, lockup, etc. Very happy with mine, mine is the raindrop Damascus. Love it!
