An Elephant Toenail has been part of my EDC rotation for a decade at least maybe longer.
One of the activities that I find myself doing more than I had anticipated is cutting lots of cordage and rope. I have found that batoning the Toenail through the rope, gives me a cleaner cut on the material than drawing a blade across.
They are not Too large for pocket carry IMHO. And I like the way they look and handle.
