A nice banana trapper lock back. I'm sure most people wouldn't care for such a large knife but I'd like to see a modern version with better fit and finish than the older ones. Preferably in a nice jigged bone with 154CM steel. Maybe a Bose collab with case. Good ol 5-1/4" closed length double bolsters. A really nice swedge clip point like the old winchester models but a thinner hollow grind for better cutting performance.

Remington Black Box did some of those Banana lock backs in the late 80s early 90s, not an SFO but you should be pleased with one, fine Rogers Bone on them.
That's where I got the idea. I do enjoy the one i have but I'd love to see it with more modern fit and finish. The bone on my example is very nice though.

The 48 is a slimline trapper pattern. An elongated bolster would be pretty cool, I agree, but that wouldn't be a barlow.
A locking Hayn' Helper with a light(er) pull would be very cool. My 47 in Nifebrite is one of my most carried and used knives. I'd buy one.
