Your EDC of Choice

I never leave the house without my spyderco yojimbo. its always backed up by another knife. That varies from a manix to the mod mark 1 or 2. As soon as I get a chinook 3 there will probably be less rotation. There is also a assist 1 in my car.

I carry an AG Russell Hunters Scalpel. The lanyard, light weight, locking sheath, and small size make it perfect for what I need. I also have an Opinel in my bag.

While I am off work over the holidays I am carrying a Junglee Marshall. I wanted to try AUS10 blade steel. It's 3.5 inches, a little big for my usual business haunts. Normally I carry a Native III in VG10 or sometimes a BM Ascent in ATS34.

For EDC I rotate between my BM 710 in ATS-34; CS Black Sable in Sam Mai III; Buck Strider Tarani in ATS-34 and G-10; and my Ontario Hossum Retribution II. The only one I would hesitate to put to hard use is the Black Sable as I don't want to scratch up the polished blade. I love each one for different reasons.

A few get thrown into the mix. When on duty a Manix, Sebenza, 710d2, 806d2, paramilitary or an E4. They all get used, it depends on what I feel like carrying that night. Off duty has been a WHK Legacy for the past 2-3 months. It's a fantastic little knife and a nice change after lugging around a 12lb belt all night long.

For the past few months the BG-42 CF Mili has monopolized my EDC pocket.

I have some things I EDC every day and other things vary.

Every day:
Victorinox Executive
Leatherman Blast
Spyderco Ladybug on keyring

Varies:
Chris Reeve large regular Sebenza
Benchmade Axis TSEK
Spyderco Endura
Victorinox Pioneer or Tinker
Leatherman Micra (used to be EDC)
Benchmade 556
Cold Steel large Tanto Voyager PE (very rarely)

I want to get a PE Spyderco Delica4 or Endura4, but can't spare the $ at the moment. I would carry it in place of my current CE Endura.

I would agree with a previous post about the Cold Steel Scimitar. Although I no longer carry mine, it's a great design and is often underrated.

I mix them up quite a bit.
Large Sebenza
Kershaw Bump
SNG
Benchmade 32
For fun, a Brend Protech

Benchmade Elishewitz 690 in my jeans, Early Elishewitz custom tanto grind in my slacks. leatherman wave in my back pack. Swiss army "the biggest fattest one made" in my glove box of my truck. Gerber nail cutter/pen knife key on my key ring.

I alternate between a '99 Emerson CQC-7 and a Benchmade S30V Ritter Grip. I think both knives are great.

Cheers,
Joe

Those of you who have Cold Steel Scimitars, I was wondering how the heck I got a sh*tty one. I've had mine for a month and have used it to only open a few boxes---the edge from the tip to the center of the blade has dulled down surprisingly fast for the amount of work. The checkering on the plastic handles rubs my hands raw if I use it more than a half-hour---you should have seen my hands after skinning a deer last week (during which, by the way, I had to use my Spyderco Temperance to finish the job). After carrying it in my pocket, I'm getting about an eighth of an inch side-to-side blade play and slightly more than that front-to-back. The black Teflon finish has major scratches and wear marks in it from light utility. I personally am no longer a big fan of Cold Steels after the disappointing performances of my Peacekeeper, Scimitar, Ti-Lite, and large Twistmaster. Now I carry my Spyderco Lil' Temperance as a utility knife, backed up by a Civilian in the waistband for big slashing power. Spydercos rule. :D

I rotate also, but lately (month of Dec.) it has been a large inlaid Classic Sebenza, or the Pat Crawford Marauder. I have the Marauder in my pocket as I type and it will probably ride for awhile since I was able to mount a deep carry clip for tip up carry.

Benchmade Vex, Blackie Collins Buddy system neck knife, Slipjoint, Leatherman Blast or Pulse.

I have many but for the most it's one of each a one hander and a slipjoint.
One handers Benchmade Leopard Cub, Carson M4, or a Spyderco Calypso JR
Slipjoints Queen stockman, Vic Cadet, or Russel Barlow
