Your EDC of Choice

For the last few months I have carried my Benchmade 710 (154CM with black blade) as my only EDC.

While hiking I also carry either my Gerber Pro-Scout or my Leatherman Wave.

I usually carry a Strider Ar, and sometimes a Nightmare Ar or a Kershaw Zero Tolerance 0301. The regular AR sees the most frequent use.

Right now, in the city or in the field, I carry a Swamp Rat INFIcoot in a pocket sheath or belt sheath and a small Swwis multitool. Legal blade length, very versatile blade design, reasonably concealable, and the grip fits my hand to perfection. Good slicer while still having a sturdy blade. INFI steel gives a lot of confidence. I've carried a Mean Street and a Public Defender, and while tere is no debating the quality, the blade geometries were just too thick for EDC. For prying, I'm getting a prybaby to wear round my neck. I have a beautiful old Case trapper but rarely carry it anymore-a folder is just not something I really care for.

Eventually, I may have a local craftsman forge me an EDC to specs I have been drawing up on paper for a few months, but right now I'm sticking with the coot. Of course, I may carry other specalized tools, but the coot (and a heavy-duty pry tool) will keep me covered in just about everything.

Leatherman Charge XTi, hanging in the pocket with the pocket clip. I initially thought it would be too heavy to carry with the pocket clip, but honestly, I haven't noticed the weight since the first day of carry.

Before the Charge was a Vic Hiker.

Everyday:
SOG Trident Folder
Craftsman Multitool
Victorinox Climber

on workdays add in a cheap Husky folding razorblade utility knife
(which is the only thing I'll loan to somebody if asked to borrow a knife)

current EDC is a strider recurve SMF.
also carry a Busse mean street on the belt, and a leatherman wave.

Benchmade 630 Skirmish is my fav folder and edc  never had a problem with it and tough as nails.

"When I want a beater, I use the Ka-Bar Dozier."

Forgive me for being a newbie, but I just purchaed the Dozier and it seems to be pretty solid for everyday use. Right now, my knife budget is limited to about $50 a few times a year. Is there something wrong with the Dozier, or is is just not as good as your other knives?

Thanks

large ritter gripper and leatherman ti. every day even at church and add a sheath knife when out in the woods .

For the most part I carry either a Vic "Farmer" or my Queen MM picture here with my Mora and GB axe:

But I just went and got plum crazy and bought my first Spyderco Caly III. Great knife. I like the VG10 flat grind and the low profile clip. Wanted to see for myself what all the talk was about regarding Spydercos. Now I see:D ;)

I also carry an Emerson Tanto. Great little knife. Thats only on the sundays tho. At work i carry an old beat to hell CRKT Cruiser with the tip of the blade broken off. Works great for what i do mostly, which is light prying (ie opening paint cans)

Something small and cheap works best for my pocket EDC. Think about a Byrd Meadowlark, Opinel 6 or a Vicorinox (budget) Camper. But…I always have a LM Wave in my back.

When going on a outdoor trip I carry on of this two combo’s: Opinel 8, LM Wave, Howling Rat or Mora, Victorinox OHT and BK7. Just depends on how ‘wild’ the trip will be ;)

Other knifes just sit home and suck-up oil

Now a days I always grab my SE Dodo. The other vaires from a Delica to a Manix, to a Griptillian, all PE.

No,I don't think there's anything wrong with Kabar Dozier.Every post I've read sings it's praises for being a good blade, and a sweet price.
My EDC is a Vic Executive, and a Photon 3 on the keyring,a Vic Alox Bantam..in a pocket in my cell phone holster.

Back to a sebenza, for today anyway. Lately I'm having a hard time deciding. I have about 6 that get thrown into the mix.
