Your "end of your life" traditional pocket knife

It will be one of these, if I've got a pocket one of them is in it.

While I'm sure that any of my current knives would serve me well for the rest of my life, I still haven't found one that has that kind of hold on me. I do however have 200.00 to blow, so I haven't lost hope yet.

whats funny is, it was actually made by schrade. Going on 20+ in and out of my pocket.

so you say, yeah but what about a real buck. 1989. This one has a lot of my body oil in the scale. Sweat if you prefer. Unless you were going to die a horrible death i wouldn't hand it to you, i might take it out and cut you loose but if i can't reach you, your a goner.

my father took my sunday knife to the here after in his pocket. Haven't settled on another in over 15 years, don't think i will.

why did you hammer that perfectly good blade into a bolt?????

Long ago H.H. Buck hammered a knife thru a bolt to show how strong his blade forging was. That image has been used as a advertising image by Buck for many years. The counter-point to this 'fake' photo is the emblem on the stockman's scale which is called by Buck collectors the 'knife, bolt and hammer'. No blade was injured in this photo but a bolt was sawn half into by a hacksaw. But, you likely could hammer one of the old 440c 110s or straight knives thru that overseas made bolt with no problem. I enjoy fun knife photos. 300

I did this one after listening to Bucknuts wax on and on about straight knives.

I did this one when it seemed all they could talk about was the Buck 110. (Bow down before the King)

IIRC, the original bolts in question were unhardened carriage bolts, which a knife might well be able to be pounded through.
