Your "Failure is not an option" knife.

Folder- Strider GB
Fixed Blade- Busse Natural Outlaw or Busse Euro4

I have abused these knives and used them on deployment in some really harsh environments from wet and muddy to the desert. They both have held up perfectly. Definitely money well spent.

Eric,

What does the Swamp Rat Prototype look like? Any idea when they will go into regular production? Sounds interesting.

Hello Richard,
Here is a pic of the Prototype, however, we will be reducing the choil on the production version.
Specs are:
approx 3.9" Blade length
approx 8.9" OAL
Dual embedded hardened stainless liners
Clip is easily moved for right or left hand carry

For a folder, I would have to say my M.O.D. Dieter CQD Mk.1. For a fixed-blade, I would have to say my Chris Reeve Shadow IV. Would trust them to the end. Tough as they come.

Folder : Large Regular Sebenza
Fixed : Ka-Bar USMC

Why ? Simply because they are indestructible… :D

Folder:
DMKnives (David Mosier) Instigator 2. This is a custom S30V big and heavy folder.
Fixed:
Busse Battle Mistress E or Mr. Mojo, depending on whether it's fight or survival. If it's "both" I'll take Mr. Mojo...

Right now, they are as follows:

Folder-Benchmade TSEK Axis
Fixed-Fallkniven A1

This may soon change, as I am looking into purchasing a Benchmade Skirmish and a Fehrman Final Judgement.

I don't have a "failure is not an option" knife. All of my knives cut well.

I agree completely.
But I am planning on getting a tough beater fixed blade to lend out to others since I don't trust anyone with my Dozier K-1.

For fixed blades I have a bunch from Bill Seigle that won't be snapping with hard use and my Allen Blade (no comments) CP bowie has held up to hard use.

For folders my Michael Cooper (L6steel) jumbo has been used for more than a folder should and still is going strong. It has pryed, hammered, and even cut :p

I would typically agree, but my CRK Mountaineer II is a tough as nails and can out cut my Dozier PGK. However, my K1 will out cut anything......
