Hello Knife People!

I’m excited to officially introduce my new brand, Accipiter Knife and Tool, and to announce that I have partnered with David Mary to produce my first designs!

“Accipiter” is derived from the Roman word for hawk, and is currently a genus of predatory birds within the order Accipitriformes, known primarily for their habit of hunting and eating other birds.

I’ve been “designing” knives since a very young age, and with information gathered primarily from BladeForums (in particular @Stacy E. Apelt - Bladesmith - thanks Stacy!), I was able to forge my first knife...

I don’t know what it is, maybe some buried genetic code or some unknown ties to our heredity. Are big knives practical these days? No, not really, outside a machete in a thick jungle. However, the deep desires within the hearts and souls of men, there is this almost brutish, Neanderthal-like feeling of grasping onto or using a large-bladed tool. It feels just right. It answers those subliminal, ancient, almost bestial calls to the wilds, the wars, to the survival of man against the wilds of the world.

Of course, it might just be modern marketing to. Carry on, feed my inner "Choppa Beast"!!!
