Your favorite “big choppas”: Machete, Khukuri, Big Knife?

Well, it's the only one I own, so I suppose that makes it my favorite. Mostly used for bashing up firewood a long time ago, now for yard work when the old trees fall apart after storms.

I have heard really good things about these specially the steel. Your experience has been good?

Yes, my experience has been good. I've used axes, hatchets, handsaws, chainsaws, but I appreciate the handling and generally greater-for-my-uses utility of the Kershaw Camp 10. The finish wears off almost instantly, but the steel is plenty tough enough for what I've bashed it through.

My best chopper is still the Condor Golok. If I’m ever thinking about taking down a 4-5” tree that really needs a chain saw or an axe, it is the one I go to. The Bushcraft Parang is pretty good, too. My favorite remains the Skrama 240, which chops fairly well on green wood and is pretty handy to carry around. I like the BK9, too, because of the smooth handle which allows me to chop comfortably for longer periods.
For lighter work around the yard, I prefer my 14” bolos by Tramontina and Imacasa (Marbles) for their light weight and nimbleness.
My only kukri is the BK21 Reinhart. I haven’t really bonded with it yet.

I've got a few Kailash kuke's and they're top notch. Their Micarta wapped (or slabbed) handles are simpley awesome. Top tier custom kukris.

I do not have a favorite, but truly enjoy the wide variety of items available in this space. Fascine, pioneer, engineer sidearms, hunting sword, hangers, and etc; it is at the point where big knives become short swords and the whole extends as weapons, tools or some combination of both.
