A Buck 301 is my standard work knife.
If I need a larger or locking blade, I use a Buck Vantage Pro.

Both are robust, work well, and if I did damage them, I'd not be out a serious amount of money.

users / abusers , IMHO they are the same thing . I believe knives are not for looking at .

Depending on the amount and size of what is being abused , either of these

My Kabar is my hard use fixed blade and my discontinued spyderco mini manix is my folder that gets the hardest use, including light batoning *gasp

Blue Delica 4 ffg would probably be my favorite beater. I got rit for a really good price when they first came out and its been switch it in and out alot for edc.

I hate my Spyderco Persistence. I've been trying to kill it for months, but it just won't die. If it's not somewhere around, I whip out my ZT 0350.

My Ontario machete, BK7 and Rat1 are the ones I turn to when hard work needs to be done. All three are very capable blades

I've got an old Ka-Bar USMC combat knife that serves as my beater knife. It has held up very well.

An old 440C large Grip is the fave beater. I bought it as a beater years ago. The thing is still around and works fine. The same goes for my Endura 4; still kicking a#$ after five or so years.

I don't really do a lot to require large beaters, so mine are both small pen blades I use as scrapers and picks and what not. I have one "Steel Warrior" congress pattern ( I think that's what it is, has a sheeps foot, coping blade, clip and pen blade ) and an Old Timer dog leg jack. The small blades are nice since they're easy to restore if they're damaged, which they usually are. I don't really do anything that requires a larger, locking hard-use knife, but these small slip-joints come in pretty handy for all types of stuff when a utility blade is needed

My favorite is the Old Timer. Got it already well worn, and the pen blade on it is indefensibly useful for all types of stuff. Came in really handy for scraping some battery terminals and some crud off the bolt yesterday, and it takes an edge back in seconds ever after that kind of treatment.
