your favorite folding wharncliffe?

catspaw- h.s. i just looked at the wharcom. that thing is the most nasty/beautiful/functional/sheeple friendly/legal nearly everywhere blade. i wish that came in tan with 440c for $7 more. either way for <$30 i don't know if you could find a better backup (beater) edc for my urbanesque situations. a simply spectacular design.

boogeyman, i'm new to the forum but on on of my first lurks i found info on the subcom and wharcom. always a sucker for something well designed, IMHO, i just had to have a wharcom. probably "need" a subcom too, now that i think about it. and it was <$25 at defenseknife.com. a different color / material scale probably wouldn't be too tough to do - only one to change. i don't use the reversible pocket clip and may take it off. the lil' dude just naps in my watch pocket...

When I designed my first custom made folder I choose a wharnie for the blade shape. It was the most practical shape for an EDC. Art Washburn made this knife from my drawings, and surpassed my expectations.

I won a Case Copperlock with a wharnie blade, and it's a very nice knife.

'Nother vote for the Wharcom...

Have had a couple of Chad's Subcoms and variants for a couple of days now, and I don't recon finding a better folding weak-side back-up anytime soon.

Little things are just awesome.

Not sure if this would qualify as a wharny but D2 blade Gene Ingram made for me awhile back and I made into a framelock.

Clearly, I did not. Thank you, NSP. I got directed here from a link on Facebook. It's good to laugh at myself.
