What is your regular every day footwear? I know we all have different favorites, so lets hear what your wearing to work, play, or in the field.

My fav's are:

Justin Lacer work boots- work, and my casual wear. I have 3 pair.
Nike Air for working out, and running
Rocky Bear Claw's for hunting, hiking
LaCrosse Brush Tuff 1200 Waders for duck hunting

I have several other brands, but these are my fav's. Lets hear yours.
I'm thinking of trying a pair of Danner hunting/hiking boots. Does anyone have any comments, or experience with these?

Danner, i wear my Acadia's when not at work and as soon as they arrive i will be wearing some Steel Toe Danner Ft. Lewis to work. Now i wear CAT's to work.

These are pretty common shoes but all work well in my book:

Boots - Dr Martens
Sandals - basic Birkenstocks
tennis shoes - Nikes (can't find Converse Allstars any more)
PT/running shoes - whatever's comfy and isn't too expensive ;)

Running shoes--Brooks Beast
A little dressier--SAS
In any shoe--Superfeet inserts! They made my plantar fasciitis go away.

I have always had trouble finding shoes that fit, because my feet are wide for their length. The Brooks in particular have worked out better than anything else, ever. (Both my Brooks and SAS are in side wide, of course.)

nike ACG low cut boots edw(ear) and asics cross trainers for running, danners for hunting/etc, used to love cowboy boots but they hurt my feet now, would still wear for horseback riding/etc, hey i live in Texas, right???

My daily wear is either white or black Nike cross trainers. Comfortable with a bit more support than regular sneakers. For weight workouts in my home gym I wear some nice Italian court shoes I've had for years. They have very thin soles for great flexability and stability. For biking (stationary and mountain) I have a very old pair of Shimano mountain biking shoes. These have a very stiff sole that I believe protects my arches and ankles.

Do anything/walk anywhere/hike & bike shoes: Salomon "Exit Low."

Hiking/relaxing sandals: Teva "Terradactyl."

3 season hiking: Meindl "Borneo."

Duty: HiTec "Magnum."

Drooling over but can't source/afford in the UK: Danner "Acadia."

maximus otter

barefoot whenever possible (including hiking), but.....

my $7 Birkenstock knock-offs or,

my Danner Quarrys that i purchased with the help of the other forumites, thanks guys.

I have a widish flat foot, so when I find a comfortable manufacturer I tend to stick with them as they tend to use similar lasts throughout their range.
At work - Danner Olympic (now called Pursuit?).
Hiking (well, walking the dog on the common) Danner Hoodwinter Light.
Casual - anything from the Merrill or Saloman ranges.
Smart - Clarks.

Clarks Wallabees,
the most comfortable shoes ever and absolutely low-tech. When I´m wearing shorts its usually some NewBalance or Asics Running Shoes or Teva sandels. In wintertime or when hiking I stick to Timberlandboots

I second the recommendation for the Salomon Exit series. Great shoes for just about anything.

I am in need of some new dress shoes, I've had several friends recommend Dr. Martens as being the best shoes they own.

Barefoot around the house and 50% of the time in the bush.

Otherwise more serious Hiking - Scarpa's (excellent Italian boots that I bought in 1990 and still look almost new)

Kicking around - Teva's

On minesites and oilrigs - Dr Martens steel caps.

I'm amazed with boots how I can spend 3 times as much and get 10 times the life.

Work: Corcoran Jump Boots
Motorcycle: Timberland 6" work boot
FMA Training: New Balance cross trainers
