Your favorite fun knife to flick

Buck vantage small avid. Love it but it can be a bitch to open. When hands are wet, it's a coin toss. Otherwise a fantastic budget EDC.

I've always enjoyed my Manix 2. Middle finger flick FTW.

That and the M4 Mini Grip I just got. I was so used to the middle finger flick, I actually did it on a thumbstud.

I loves me some Grip (both sizes) flicking action. The ZT 550 I had also had rocket propelled flicking. The knife that started amazingly smooth flicking was my beloved and moronically traded Sage 1. The last honorable mention would be the Ontario XM-1. The blade weight plus super smooth action made the knife open faster than an auto, but the handles were obese and the pocket clip was unwieldy.

Kershaw Tremor-The one by which all my others are judged.
ZT 0400 Scavenger-Snaps to attention with authority.
CRKT Eraser-Her long wing span doesn't impair her rapid presence.

Of the knives I own, the most fun has to be the SOG Mini-Vulcan or regular Vulcan. I have sort of gotten past the "flick stage" and generally go with a Vic SAK or traditional. Neither of these knives get carried. I keep one of them in my field bag for work.

I think that I can only reduce my list of favorite flick-able knives to four.

In no particular order:

CRKT Eros. This little knife almost flips when you LOOK at it.

ZT 0200. For a knife with a large blade, this one flips incredibly easy, and locks up with a MOST satisfying THUNK.

Spyderco Chokwe. Buttery smooth, just a joy to flick.

Spyderco Para 2. I switch between flicking it using the spydie hole and holding down the compression lock and gravity flicking it.

I don't have any assisted openers on my list, even though I have a bunch. To me, opening an AO knife really can't be considered 'Flicking'.

My Spyderco Military is ridiculously smooth and fun to flick, but the winners got to be my XM-24. It's got such a great feel

My Kershaw G10 composite blade JunkYardDog II makes a nice clunk when it opens. I don't flick knives for fun, but I like the sound of that one.

I've been really enjoying the "whack" of my Kershaw JYD opening lately :) For a manual flipper, it opens with authority.

Hell yeah, you really feel the "impact" when it hits the stop pin
I prefer a good manual flipper anyway, and the JYD is pretty much perfect in that regard, especially for the price
