Your favorite knife brand

Spyderco mostly have the knives that I like, but all of the major players have horses in the race.

When you get done with brands, check out some of the custom stuff out there and you'll find you have a whole new addiction! ;)

Favorite manufacturers for fixed blades: Fallkniven and Bark River
Favorite manufacturers for folders: Spyderco and Kershaw

Spyderco, Case, ESEE, Great Eastern Cutlery, and Busse/Scrapyard/Swamp Rat. Kershaw is great also but I'm just not drawn to them like Spyderco.

I love a good slip joint with a strong spring and good steel. It just has to snap closed or I pretty much put it down.
In that case, you should love Great Eastern Cutlery. I know how you feel though, I love strong springs.

Marlboro...

Kidding... I have no favorite. Custom is the way to go.

esee fanboys? My knife bent while batoning and when i was done it was true and straight. Esee makes great knives for the money and i have put my rc6 through some rough tests (chopping and batoning) and held up perfectly. I got my first benchmade today and love it (707 sequel) i just havent had the chance to use it yet except to cut paper but i am sure it will perform and it is american made and i am sure it will beat a kershaw. Ive had 2 kershaws and handled another. Kershaws are great for the money but they are making alot of there knives in assisted opening which is illegal in my state and they are also starting to make them in china (to compete) screw that...look into esee and you wont be disapoined. Unconditional lifetime warrenty, excellent fit and finnish and great heat treat and cannot forget fair price for what you get. Rest my case. Haters hate...lol....had a few drinks. Bare with me....haha

Too bad the assisted Kershaws are banned in your area. I've got a few and the ZT 300 is one of the most pleasant folders I've had the pleasure of owning regardless of price.

Frost Cutlery. They have a real decent catalog and you can get a whole barrel of knives for about $19.99.
I hear Bear Ghrylls is pretty popular around these parts as well. Good luck with your 'knife collecting'
