I ditched the base for my Sharpmaker years ago, and just free-hand with the ceramics. I need to pick up a set of diamond rods, though. Don't have a real solution for removing lots of metal fast. But, as I don't tear up my blades too much, the med and hard ceramics work fine for the most part.
Home Depot sells a really nice Husky Torx set that stores the double-ended bits in the handle. Only set I've found that goes all the way from T4 - T10. FYI, William Henry uses T4 and T5 screws.
