Your favorite midtechs

I recently picked up a Jeff Park Bones...while the base is plain Ti, you can get them direct from Jeff and he will anodize them for you. Amazing little knife, very slender. They are liner locks instead fo framelocks, and come in at 2.8oz so they are very easy to pocket even in shorts. I ended up getting a plain and anodizing it myself....has been in my pocket almost exclusively since I got it.

I will have to say I love the Ti midtech knives. I think all that was mention are great knives. I think it is a great way to get a heck of a good knife at not to bad a price. What do you all think?

I think some midtechs are definitley on par with quality of their custom counterparts. You just don't get the warm fuzzy feeling knowing your knife is special.

All my midtechs are Brous. Sniper, Vr-71, Vendetta, Tyrant. I just love the look of them and, quite honestly, the price. I haven't paid more than $150 for any of them, and two I bought new, which is the same you'd pay for a Benchmade or ZT (on the Forum). Happy with the customer service too. Sent back the sniper because of the linerlock not engaging and got it back all fixed, no problem. The fantasy knife look isn't for everyone, but it appeals to me to have something a bit more aggressive looking that's different, but not a cheapo tactilol with bottle opener and corkscrew attachments.

I just picked up a brous insight from blade hq. It was on sale for $200. It is the hardest firing flipper I've ever owned and impeccably made. The design is fantastic too. I'm tossing around the idea of getting another one.

The hoback collab he's coming out with this year looks awesome too.

He has a new one called the Hardwire that's right up my alley...very thin kwaiken-looking with a 4.125" blade. Still just taking pre-orders on them so I may wait a while and see if I can get a used one or if they go on sale.

I'm on Rob Carter's list for his Variant model (He's making mine a lefty!)
Others I am considering (or WOULD consider if they made leftys....)
Grimsmo Bros. -Rask
Brad Southard -Tolk
Les George -Rockeye
Michael Burch -V3 or the upcoming V4
Todd Begg -Bodega (not the Steelcraft)
Brian Tighe -Tighe Tac
Millit Knives -Max Evolution

Good luck. The hunt is half the fun!!

The Strider MSC Performance series is good. Better fit/finish than the production Striders and cheaper than the full customs.
