Your Favorite Pistol and Rifle?

Pistol - Series 70 Government .45 as it came from the factory. Love that pup. Comparable knife - Busse Mean Street or Badger - true workhorse.

Rifle - HK91 set up in SG1-ish configuration, plus laser. Heavy, but reliable, and does what is asked of it. Knife pairing - Straight handled Busse Steel Heart.

Oh yeah....

Brothers & Sisters of Common Calibres,

There's a lot to be said for keeping both rifle and pistol in the same calibre, i.e. 9 mm, .357 Mag or .44 Mag. Less ammo to carry seperately, no time to load and so forth. Some other forums have indicated a re-emergence of interest in the Winchester Model 94 and the Marlin. Single action shooting isn't all THAT bad.
Ruger has a great frame for this purpose with a long gun by either of the aforementioned companies.

Did someone mention a drilling? If you don't know the term, a drilling may be a combination of pistol, rifle and/or shotgun barrels. Much like a big-brother version of the Springfield M-6 or .22/.410 over-under.

pistol - glock 32C .357SIG w/meprolite sites and preban mag w/+2 floorplate, a great gun, easy to conceal, accurate, reliable

rifle - preban steyr maahdi w/east german style side folder (MPI-KNs-72 i think its called) and AK74 style muzzle brake. an excellent rifle, more accurate than your everyday AKM imho, has NEVER jammed w/several 'K' rounds thru it, compact, serious firepower imho

knife - production - EKI SOCFK w/tanto blade

custom - crawford kasper ti fighting folder

either one is a well made heavy duty knife, up to most any task imho

was hard not to include me kimber std 1911 .45, and my remington mod 700 ADL .30-'06 w/a leupold 3X9 variable, a helluva whitetail gun, and my uncles old savage model 99 .300 savage, made in '39, looks like its about 3 yrs old, still in excellent shape, 98+% i would think, w/a leupold 3X, another good one that deserves to be on the list.

better stop now, lol

Pistol: Glock 23 with Night Sites, 3.5 lb trigger, extended slide release and high cap mags.

Rifle: Pre-ban AR15 with collapsable stock, flash hider and plenty of high cap mags

Pistol......Walther P5 Compact

Rifle.......Barrett 82A1, most amazing rifle I have ever owned (no comparison).

For the pistol, I'm going with the Beretta 96. It is the BEST looking pistol out there, and has sleek Italian lines and impeccable Italian quality, fit and finish. Just fits my hand so well... .40 chambering of the 96 gives it more muscle than its 9mm lil' bro. It has proven flawless performance time and time again by countless LEO agencies and Military forces all around the world.

What knife I'd compare it to? Uh...I dunno.

Rifle: I'm going to have to go with dkochan on this:
Rifle: Pre-ban AR15 with collapsable stock, flash hider and plenty of high cap mags
:D ACTUALLY, I'd go with an MP5, but not sure that qualifies as a "rifle" per se...

This is an unfair question and I refuse to answer it. For if my wife were to find this website she would require me to sell all my other guns!

GLock35....Horsepower
AR-15......Firepower
Rem700LTR..Precision

Need I say more?

Knife...newly aquired Cuda MADD MAXX 5.5
It has Horsepower, Firepower and Precision:D

My vote for all around gun has to go to my Super Redhawk, downloaded I can dust off rabbits [and still eat whats left] and properly stoked I would feel safe going after bear, current blade in use is a Cold Steel Tru-Flight thrower, its light, flat, I can throw it at stumps for fun and still carve up those tasty rabbits we were talking about. Yum Yum!!

Got to be my Colt Model 70 Goldcup with 1" extension, reworked/strengthened slide and heavy duty spring. Just can't beat a .45. Comparable to a Sebenza, good looking, will take a beating and do everything you ask of it.

Been a couple of years since I had a rifle, but anything in a 45-70. Or better yet a Purdy 10 ga.

Pistol: Sig P226 9mm (night sights and 15-rounders)
Rifle: Steyr USR (civilian AUG, with Trijicon TA01NSN scope)
Knife: Sebenza...or Busse....

From the UK, this is of academic interest only...
but I was looking at that knife yesterday [also probably a *BAD IDEA* here] and it looks amazing!

What's it like for pocket carry? Nearly a foot long when it's open isn't it?

Got a point there. I've always loved the '94--particularly my buddy's Trapper in .45 colt. I'll revise and extend my remarks as follows:

Pistol: Ruger SP101 KSP-331X
Rifle: Winchester Model 94

Does anyone make anything like a Marlin Camp Carbine in .357 Sig?

fav. pistol- FA 97 in 45 colt
fav. rifle- weatherby lefty markV in .300 weatherby.
SA's rock for a lefty,if you need more than 5 supersonic 300g slugs you're probably f**ked anyway!:D

Favorite Centerfire Rifle: Ruger M77 30-06
Favorite Centerfire Pistol: Ruger SS Speed Six .357

Favorite Rimfire Rifle: Ruger 10/22
Favorite Rimfire Pistol: Ruger SS Mark II 10 inch

Pistol: H&K USP Expert/Compact in 45 cal. The most accurate and sweet shooters I've got. Sig 226 for ergonomics/accuracy in a 9mm.

Rifle: AR-15 for the moment, till I get a H&K USC. Or get my hands on a FN P-90.

Folding knife: Strider GB/AR (Indestructable)

Fixed blade: Busse Steel Heart II (indestructable)

There have been a number of favorites over the years, but out of the current stock, they are:
Pistol: Stainless Kimber Ultra--fantastic for CCW and extremely accurate.
Rife: Bushmaster shorty--best AR I've ever owned.

Favorite Pistol- Browning Hi Power P35. It's got reliability out the wazoo. Acuracy out of the box. The trigger leaves a lot to be desired but doesn't take that much to fix. Above all, she was the original Hi-Cap pistol and is still going strong. No other pistol has the sexy lines of a Hi-Power.
As for knives, The Al Mar SERE 2000 is hard to beat.
Doc

Pistol: Ruger Old Army. Earth-shattering Ka-boom, and lots of smoke.

Rifle: Barrett M99. Insane accuracy.
