Your Favorite Pistol and Rifle?

Pistol: H&K P7

Rifle: well, that depends. My all-time favorite is the M14A1, but my Bushmaster M17S is a bit more practical, and quite possibly a more efficient 'terminal ballistic effect delivery device', for most types of combat. Still, 7.62 NATO is a very nice round, if you need it.

My favorite pistol is the Browning High-Power. I have two, a 9mm and a .40S&W. Don't make me decide between the two! When I lived in Texas I spent many days in the Texas heat shooting 100s of handloaded 125GN LRN through the 9mm at IDPA targets. Sometimes there was even an IDPA match going on :D. 2nd runner up... Desert Eagle. A real crowd pleaser.

My favorite rifle is a tough one but I will go with the Armalite AR10-A2 (.308 Win) mainly for the fun factor. Plus it fits me like a glove because I put the buttstock from an M16-A1 on it (after suitable application of Brownells OD Green paint) (the A1 buttstocks are about 1 1/2" shorter than the A2s). I had a scope on this thing at one point but I get a huge kick out of trying for decent groups with just the peep sight (takes me back to my army days). 2nd runner up... The Taurus M62, a little pump .22LR rifle that is the epitome of fun.

My favorite big knife is my Al Mar SERE 2000. My wife said it best: "wow that's a big knife" :D. My favorite small knife is my Chris Reeve Sebenza Classic 2000.

My favorite tomahawk. Thanks for asking. That would be the ATC Rodgers' Rangers Spike. Beautiful work and quite the bargain.

The Maxx is almost 30cm open but under 16cm closed. Mine is clipped to my pocket every day and I never notice that it's there. The Maxx is surprisingly light and it is actually thinner than some folders half its length.
