Your Favorite Pocketknife

The color and jigging on that bone is fantastic!

Thank you sir! Those farm boys seem like they would be a great user!!

Like several others I've seen here as I scanned the thread, a 4-blade (or 5-blade) / scout / camper pattern is the one. This is my usual EDC (along with a Vic Classic for reasons most will understand).

While this Army Engineer's knife (Camillus-made) is usually it, I'm happy with any scout pattern. After trying a lot of different folders in variuous patterns — thank you, Rough Rider! — this is the one that matters most. I have others I also carry, but this design is it.

Guys, you're killing me with these superb knives... such variety. Puts a smile on my face. I'm putting up two.

The first was a gift from Dr Dave Taber (Dr T) and my best friend, Tony Roe (he supplied the mammoth ivory). I spent the weekend with those guys in October... hanging out, chatting knives, and examining Dr T's shop and unreal knife collection... Tony Bose, Jess Horns, and Bob Loveless by the dozens. I even got to hold the rarest Bob Loveless in the world, among others. Dr T had a Tony Bose Cotton Sampler and I just loved it.... and he took note of my interest. Two weeks after I get back home, I had a this Cotton Sampler show up in the mail as a gift. It is my most special and prized knife.

My favorite pattern is actually the Improved Trapper, or Tony Bose Small Trapper Pattern as seen in the second pic. Perfect blade combo, IMHO, and a comfortable handle in all grips. This example has vintage rag micarta.

Friends are the best. You can only have good friends Rob by being a good friend. Those are two beautiful examples of the finest in knife making. Nice photos too.

I carry customs mostly. And from makers that are my friends. So each one is my favorite . I have some production knives that I'll carry certain days for certain reasons. Way too hard to say one knife is my favorite.

For me this S&M flips the right switches for me. It is the right size, with a good steel and a firm but not a nail breaker pull. I have not been a big fan of stag but the covers on this one really spoke to me.

Wow those are both spectacular pieces of cutlery - just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure ... I always have 2 in my pocket: a Stockman, usually a Buck 301 or 371, but sometimes a slightly larger Rough Rider.
A 4 blade Scout/Camp/Utility knife.
I also keep a Buck 110 or Old Timer 7OT or 6OT on my belt 24/7/365.25
I'll sometimes add a Canoe or Barlow to the pocket, to keep the other two company.

Of all the knives I have had this one would be my favorite..

That is a good looking knife,
I'm currently carrying a two blade clip Barlow with sawcut bone. It changes every couple months but I seem to prefer 2 blades on one end. Love the Eurekas, I'm looking forward to the case Bose collaboration this year

Thanks Willard! I'm with you on the Case/Bose colab!!

Sorry... no pics.

But, you all know what I'm talking about... Case Yeller Peanut. I carry it every day. It was given to me by a dear friend. I love it's CV goodness, and I keep her sharp.
