My favorite pocketknife is a Case 6318 with jigged bone handles. To split frog-hairs, I'll add that I prefer stainless steel blades made before the high polish era. OH

Your Favorite Pocketknife

For most of my life, the two favorite knives Ihave carried has been either a scout pattern like the army 'demo' knife or standard SAK, or a stockman. Both have occupied my pockets, sometimes separate and other times together. These two patterns have seen all kinds of use in a lot of different places, and got it done.
The ones in this pic have been shown here before, and are representative of their breeds. If I had to make a pick for the favorite knife, the stockman would be the first choice. All of the 1970's and 80's, and part of the 90's my knife was a Buck 301 stockman. I never found it wanting. If I needed a screw driver or can opener, I had my P-38 and keychain screw driver in my wallet.
This 303 Buck cadet has got a lot of carry and use of late.

For the last three years I have alternated by mood between two EDC knives. The first is a German Boker stockman from the 1950s, with sunk joints, round bolsters, nickel silver throughout and gum fuddy covers. Great old carry. The other knife is a stag CASE/BOSE dogleg jack which needs no explanation. I do have others that I carry from time to time but those are my main squeezettes. I can't seem to figure out how to post images directly from my computer; I swear that I am following directions but no cigar (or even serpentine). I know about tinypic, et al, but I have found that venue to be annoying and unnecessarily long-winded process. Help is appreciated.

Excellent knives posted by all! I'll admit my "favorite" tends to change on a weekly basis. Wish I had the discipline to limit my collection to just a few but that never seems to work out. But of all my knives I'm continualy drawn to my Northwoods IRJ in ebony. Just ticks all the right boxes for me. However my most used, carried, abused and most scarred is a Vic Pioneer.

I like threads like this, I like to try and predict what I'm going to see from certain individuals. Some people have definitely got knives that I associate specifically with them (surprised not to see a Resolza from a certain story teller 
) and others who have so many nice knives that I couldn't possibly guess. Nonetheless, my choice is of course this one;
