your favorite small knives

The Spyderco Standard had become my
Standard carry knife. It's not too small, it's just right.

I carry a small, blue G10 handled Meerdink fixed blade in my front left pocket.

Blue inlay Native, 940, 350, 812, & G-10 Harpy (the Harpy isn't sheeple-friendly, but it's a great little knife & vicious monster in a small package).

Spyderco Dragonfly - plain edge w/ Zytel handles.

Overall this is the best small "using" knife I've ever handled. The blade geometery is exceptional, the AUS-8 steel is adequate (VG-10 would be better Mr. Glesser!<g>), it weighs next to nothing and it's at a price point where replacing a lost knife isn't a big deal. I love blade holes and I find that no matter how I pull it from my pocket I can open it with my thumb, index or middle finger without adjusting my grip. The thumb hole, choil and area of the blade behind/on top of the hole offer an infinite number of grips... I could go on but I guess you folks get the point - this is my favorite small knife.

i agree. i just LOVE my Dragonfly. i also have to contend with a minicipal regulation limiting blade length to 2.5 inches. as it is though, all the good things you sid about the Dragonfly are right on. i do wish they made a fancier one, with maybe Titanium handle / frame with maybe some colored inlay. it just isn't qute fancy enough for my eveyday suit carr. maybe that will change with the Stainless (and heavier) version. however, i just love my Dragonfly and have it with me wherever i go. oh, i also have a police necklace on my keychain, just because. i would love it even more in plain edge ...

Sebenza small Classic MM or Spyderco Calypso Lt. Wt. plain edge. Both knives have edges like razor blades however, reserved for light use. Also carry heavier blades for tough cutting.

Dont carry a folder to much anymore but when I do it my Spyderco Micarta Calypso Jr.

My two everyday knifes are Dozier Toothpick carried IWB and Allen Blade O1 Chipmunk on belt...The Chipmunk is a great non sheeple scaring fixed blade..

Small Sebenza. I usually don't have to carry anything smaller, thankfully.

My fiance has a Baby Goddard in her purse. Great knife. Wish it weren't half serrated though.

The BM820 is a great small knife as well.

I've been carrying small fixed-blades lately; I really like my Sean Perkins Gryfen. For small folders, I really like the micarta-handled Spyderco Mini-Dyad. Two different blade styles, for pickin' splinters or cuttin' rope.

Spyderco Experimental,

Extremely Strong Lockup and thick blade profile makes for a very sturdy knife.

Spyderco Calypso Jr. Micarta. I needed a sub 3" blade to carry in lieu of my BM 940 for places where there is a 3" limit. Found I like it so much that I ended up carrying it more that the 940. The 940 got some looks in my office environment, whereas I have no qualms about producing the Jr.

Both are nice, though.

Regards,

David
