dont really like most of spydercos wharncliffe blade styles specifically except maybe the smock. Still waiting to see if different models come out. All that being said, I prefer the wharncliffe style personally for edc purposes. I don't really like belly in my blade.

I wish Spyderco would again make some tactical type blades that are narrow like their old C-50 Centofante, JD Smith, Howard Viele and C-60 Massad Ayoob. For some reason I really do better with a narrow blade in a lot of cutting jobs. Also for me I think a narrow/tactical type blade like the ones I mentioned would make good self defense knives. And I hope to GOD above I never ever have to use a knife to defend myself with. But I would rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Yeah I'm the same way with guns too.

The Des Horn is about the last model that had the type of narrow blade that I really like. It really saddens me that the great Phil Boguszewski passed away because I was hoping that him and Spyderco could eventually hook up. Because the older Benchmade Boguszewski Spike was one of my top 3 favorite designs of all time. And it was a great all purpose EDC folder as well. And it was a narrow spearpoint blade that I really loved.

My favourite Spydercos are the Manix 2 & Native 5. I guess they're leaf shape, I dunno.
