Compression Lock is running away in this match-up, with about 60% of the votes, even though only a few Spyderco folders use it. As far as I know, Para-Military2, Yojimbo 2 and Szabo with Junior, Salsa, Superhawk, SuperLeaf and Lil' Temperance discontinued.

PowerLock is being "introduced" on the upcoming Tatanka.

Most Spyderco folders use either LinerLock or BackLock.

I prefer the Walker liner lock. Spyderco does them very well and I've never had any issues with lock strength. RIL is 2. and comp lock 3.

My order of preference is FrameLock, LinerLock and Compression Lock. FrameLock over LinerLock mostly due to more meat for both lock strength and on the thumb.

I own over 500 Spydercos. 80% or more of them are back locks and the lock I have the next most of isn't even listed on that diagram.

Superleaf is also a compression lock, and I want one.

I stand corrected.

Better get one soon since it was on the Official 2013 Discontinued List (last year)!

As a long time Spyderco enthusiast, I voted for the back lock. I'm used to it, and it's completely natural for me to use. The Compression Lock is my second favorite.

Endura & Delica.
I'm pretty sure that, with the exception of the Karahawk, I own at least one specimen of every back lock Spyderco that's been released and multiples of most of them. So yes, at least a couple of each of those.

In hindsight, I should've included a "None of the Above" option!
True. You never know, there may even be a Phantom Lock (Meerkat) lover among us.

Compression lock is my favorite, and back lock is my least favorite.

Mine right now is the back lock, but this could easily change in a short time period.

I like the Chris reeves integral lock

Also don't forget the Lil Temperance was one of Spyderco's first compression locks ;)

I like the Ball Bearing Lock and the Compression Lock the best.

Frame locks are great and Back/Mid Locks are alright too.

But I hate liner locks.

I like the backlock, especially the newer version with the dent in it.

im not too big of a fan of the dent. i love the compression lock and ball baring lock. but my favourite knives are back lock and liner lock unfortunately.

I am a huge comp lock fan. Wish they made more knives with it. A Manix 2 with a comp lock and M390 would be my grail. Looking forward to the Powerlock too, even if it does sound like it comes from a comic book lol.

I'm a real fan of the compression lock. I've had MOST models with a comp lock at one time or another. I'm surprised that nobody mentioned the Superhawk or the Salsa in the comp lock category. I have to say though, I don't particularly care for the comp lock on the Yojimbo 2. The way it was cut there is a gap that pinches my finger about half the time when I close the knife.

I'd say that my next favorite is the back lock followed by the ball lock, frame lock and liner lock.

And in the other category, you need to add the weird rare earth magnet lock that the T-Mag uses.
