The ease of use, simplistic design, one hand opening and closing without fingers in the way of the blade...compression lock ftw!

Compression lock is great indeed!

But I like the simple backlock more. I don´t know why, but that´s a fact...

+1 for the super solid Walker Linerlock on the Gayle Bradley Folder...even as a lefty.

I voted liner lock because it works well and is easy to access. Although I feel bad for the Bolt Action Lock and the Ball bearing lock. I haven't had the opportunity to try either of those yet and would like to.

I love the ball bearing lock. I've been EDCing a Manix 2 for the last year. Linerlock is my second favorite, then backlock. Just got a Superleaf and I'm not sure how I feel about the compression lock yet.

I like anything I can operate one-handed, meaning I never buy back lock knives.

I used to think like you and avoided back lock knives like the plague. Then I figured out all back lock Spyderco's are correctly designed so you can flick them closed one handed without slicing any fingers. Now my favourite carry knives are the Dragonfly and Chaparral.

I actually prefer the back lock over the compression lock now, and am thinking of replacing my PM2 with a Stretch or Caly.

My favorites are the Caged Ball Lock and the Compression lock. They are proprietary Spyderco designs, allow for easy one-handed deployment/closing, are cool from an engineering standpoint, and they are rock solid. Of those, the Comp Lock is my preferred lock, it has fewer moving parts and weighs less.

I don't own one, but I assume the frame lock/compression lock hybrid of the Titanium Salsa would have to be my absolute favorite.

The back lock levels the field when it comes to handedness orientation (right vs left), but I'm really warming up to the compression lock.

Compression Lock is running away in this match-up, with about 60% of the votes, even though only a few Spyderco folders use it. As far as I know, Para-Military2, Yojimbo 2 and Szabo with Junior, Salsa, Superhawk, SuperLeaf and Lil' Temperance discontinued.

PowerLock is being "introduced" on the upcoming Tatanka.

Most Spyderco folders use either LinerLock or BackLock.

Also the ATR, including a RIL-type compression lock.

Compression lock is by far my favorite. It's one of the safest and easiest locks that I have used. I really wish more Spydercos came with them. They need to make some more compression lock knives!

Para 2 love might be skewing the poll toward the Compression Lock. I love the Para and the lock is perfect on it. But the Compression Lock on the Szabo is too stiff and pinches my hand when opening. I voted liner lock because it's used on a lot of my favorite knives. I like them all though.
