Your favorite "user"/EDC Spydie is?

Got it narrowed down to either the Military plain edge ATS34 or the Calypso Jr. in AUS8. I find myself grabbing both with similar regularity.

Military PE is number one EDC Spyderco.

I have complained in the past about poor response with customer service at Spyderco however, this design is a great knife.

Mike, where is my broken blade? Still waiting for return of my blade broken at the Spyde hole!!! Yes, it was my fault and I was very happy to pay for a blade replacement at a very fair nominal cost. But my old blade was requested in writing to be returned to me when the Military was shipped for examination of possible heat treat defects.

Calypo Jr. Lwt with PE is second EDC.

FK

I have been carrying my S30v Native since I received it last week and I have been impressed. Yesterday our computer tech had to remove a 10' run of cables from under the desks. It had about 20 zipties along this length. Even though the ties were tight and around several wires I was able to insert the point of the Native and with a quick yank cut through each of them in just a few monents without damaging the underlying wires. The edge was undaughted and pristine. The Native has a nice shape, thick blade for it's weight, and mine locks up like a vault. So far it gets top marks :)

between my Merlin or Police.

I am always amazed at the popularity of the S.S. Police. It is without doubt a nice looking knife with the typical spyderco quality but really can anyone ever imagine actually using the thing as a self defense weapon? With the first drop of sweat or blood it would go flying, hopefully the right way so it wouldn't take off a finger or 2.

I don't think Spyderco intended the Police as an SD weapon in the first place, but more like a duty knife that a police might need to use.
SD knives from spyderco tend to have the Martial Blade Craft rating, and I've yet to see one that have a slippery handle.
Although the G10 police has been discontinued, it could be found.

When I'm at work my favorite EDC has become the Mouse. That thing is built like a tank and the handle's ergonomics are excellent. It may be the best small knife that Spyderco ever manufactured (IMO). For the rest of the time I would say that it would be my Delica II in PE. Again this gets down to the fact that it has superior ergonomics and is built in such a way as to be able to deal with any task for which I may need it.

Favorite EDC for slicing (food prep, envelopes, controlled matter separation): black vesuvius PE

Favorite EDC for cutting (carboard destruction, rope cutting, quick matter separation) blue rescue 93mm CE

I use a leatherman micra for cable ties as it requires less effort and not dangerous.

When I'm at work it's the PE reverse "S" Meercat. We're restricted to 2 inch blades. The rest of the time it's the Blackhawk.

G-10 C05 Standard without hesitation.

Great little, yet strong knife you don't notice in your pocket.

IMO the G-10 handles combine the advantages of FRN (weight & grip) and steel (strengh & slimness), leaving the particular disadvantages away.

Only slight complaint: the blade could be a little thinner, it would still be plenty strong but slice better.

i carry my stainless rookie quite a bit, but i love my native. the native is a hard worker and kicks a$$.
