This will no doubt change by next week, but here goes.

1. JK Anniversary knife.
2. Koster Nessmuk (and the monster nessie, though I have never handled one)
3. Koyote Bushcrafter Leuku (I'm playing with the passaround knife as I type!)
4. Fiddleback Forge Woodsman
5. JK Hudson Bay (haven't held one yet, but I'm eagerly anticipating it)

Honorable mentions: NWA Sierra Scout, North River Forge Frontier Bowie (or any North River Forge 'hawk), Mentor semi-custom EDC scandi (shameless, I know).

All the best,

- Mike

PS - can't really think of a custom knife by one of the W&SS regular makers that I didn't adore to a certain extent.

JK Hiker
Breeden PSKK
Koster Nessmuk
Charlie Ridge survival blade
Modern Seax by Koyote
*if the list were 6, I would add Justin of Ranger Knives and the RD-6

Let's see...:D

There's not a lot of specific knives I could point to, but styles that catch my eye!

John Greco-Scagel styles knives at a great price!
David Wesner-I really like all of his camp knives I've ever seen!
Ray Laconico-I wish he'd make just one ugly knife:D
Brian Andrews-One of his Bushcrafts will be my 'I'm back to work' present to myself eventually:thumbup:
Siegle-Gotta' love a big knife!

Koyote, Magnussen, Fiddleback, Steelshaper- each have such an incredible flow to their knives that I'm truly jealous of their abilities to turn a piece steel into such incredible and useful art! They all make knives that call to me, each in their own distinct ways.

I also have to admit, it's really neat to see my name in this thread:eek::D I started making knives just so I could afford to buy knives by all of the other guys listed here, and it just kinda went from there:p Thanks for the swollen ego, guys:p:thumbup::D

All tied for first:
Fiddleback bushy]
DFarmer bushy
DFarmer utility
Fiddleback woodsman
Rayban kit knife..

Great Question

Charles May -- trace and fire ant
Treeman-- Bird, trout
Dan Crotts-- Model 1
Dozier-- K2
Dozier- YPS

First 5 makers in my mind at most times:

1. Dan Koster. Kinda a brother in my mind. Mentored me a lot.
2. Scott Gossman. Same as above.
3. NWA - Perfect designs, perfect execution.
4. Charles May - I always, always lust for his work, sadly, I've never owned any.
5. J Neilson. J is a Master.
6. Ray Laconico.

I've had more Gossmans than anyone else on the list. If you like convex, and you've not had one of Scott's knives. I've had 4 of his knives. Tusker Jr I think is my favorite (owned two due to a sniveling thief). I've got a sweet modified PSK that I put a handle on that is utility perfected.

Dan, I like his bushcrafter the best.

NWA's knife he made for WSS was badass.

I've had the BUK from J. Neilson, and it tought me about how thin you can grind steel.

Let me tell you guys how honored I am to have made ANY of your lists. You guys rock.

By maker... In no particular order....

Ray Laconica - Generally
Bill Siegle - His Hudson Bay, the knife he made for William M
Matt Lamey - His 'Crude' Bowies
Muskrat Man - His Puuko
Dan Koster - Nessmuk
Brian Andrews - The Skog Kniv and his Badger
Tom Krein - His Morseth style stuff and his #5 without a false edge
Brian Goode - His big chopper and his Bushcrafter
Stuart Mitchell - Deval Bushcrafter and the preceding design
Mick Strider - His general design genius, as seen in his MSC's.
Bob Alderman - His Bushcrafter

I know, too many, but I can't help but break the rules, how could a lover of good cutlery choose but 5?
