Your favourite knives by the first 5 makers that come to mind ?

1)fiddleback bushcrafter or any of his gorgeous blades. Works of art.
2)NWA Sierra Scout, or any one of his designs. He makes a really really nice blade.
3)Laconico Project W or really anything by Ray is perfection.
4)Gossman PSK, again, any Gossman. Scott is a great guy who knows what hes doin.
5)Koster Bushcrafter- A must have IMO. I love the modern/traditional look to kosters blades, and am developing a fondness for the scandi grind...Finally.
6) ML- anything. I love the old school look and craftsmanship of Matts blades.

In no particular Order.....

Too many good makers here, JK, Breeden, muskrat man, Brian Andrews, Charlie Ridge etc etc etc.... Lots of talent here.

Double post. Sorry. Still honored.

There really seems to be a theme here with Fiddleback Nessmuks.

DPKnives Woodsman
Nick Allen @ NWA
Walter Davis
Tom Krein
Bill Siegle
Scott Gossman
Fiddleback

It was hard to get down to 7 with all of the great makers
out there. Of these makers, I only have knives from DPKnives
and Nick Allen at NWA (have the Woodsman, Scout and Muskrat).
They are all excellent quality knives that I really enjoy
using...a lot....

Just checked out Walter Davis's big knives this weekend and
was blown away by the designs. There's definitely going to
be one (or more) of them in my future.
Got the chance to handle one of Tom's Dingos. Very nice knife.
Also, like Gossman, Siegle and Fiddleback offerings although
I don't have any...yet...

I'm very honored to have made some of the lists posted here. It is much appreciated. We are lucky to have some very talented makers who frequent this forum.
Scott

Brian Andrews bushcrafter. I just got mine and it's the only one I need!!--KV

My top 5 favorite are

Fiddleback- Ladyfinger
Koster- Bushcrafter
NWA- Scout
Gossman- Tusker
Laconico- Kephart (This is on my list, I do not have one yet)

These are all great users and the guys are great to deal with.

Randall #23 sentimental favorite
Charles May Trace EDC
May Fire Ant EDC
Dozier Master Hunter flat grind
Randall #14 O-1 favorite chopper
May S30V necker always on my neck when fishing or camping near the Gulf

Lets see... In no particular order of...

These makers to me all have a similar approach. They all produce and outstanding product with clean lines in my opinion.

Dan Koster, Bushcraft and Survivor
Nick Allen, Scout
Ray Laconico, HWK
Brian Goode, Companion
Fiddleback forge, Nessmuk

The following makers create more of a artistic product in my opinion with outstanding results

J. Nielson, any blade
Matt Lamey, Just cool stuff
Matt Bailey, Real quality work at a price you can't beat imo
There are many more but I am trying to think of the ones that jump into my mind.

MY Holy Grail at this time would have to be a pair from Trace Rinaldi. The Armageddon and some kind of companion knife. I am hoping I will be able to obtain this in the near future.

Seriously honored to make so many lists. And for so many different types of knives!

Fiddleback - Woodsman
J. Horton - Camp Blood or EDC (hard to settle on just one)
Koster - Bushcrafter
J. Nielsen - Whatever he just made (makes a mean Bowie)
Dozier - Pro Guide

Also:

Tom Krein - any of the TKs
Bill Siegle - great choppers
Ariel Salaverria - Criollo (although anything in his cable damascus is great!)
Jerry Hossom - Chainsaw (just a magnificent work of art)

Well, I could go on and on and on. It's sort of a Golden Age, isn't it?
