Your first busse/kin?

Scrapyard 511 was the start of the sickness for me, picked up used off the Exchange.

I'd previously played with a mate's RMD and wasn't overly impressed, and I always thought the reality of Bussekin blades could never match the price and hype.

Since then, my collection has, at various times, looked like this:

and more recently this:

I've since added an SOB, Rodent Solution, Jackmandu, and AK-47, and have another RMD, a BG-AMS and Rodent Rucki on the way, plus a Rodent 9 and Mystery Grab Bag on order.

I started with an ASH-1 BG in sage with tan and black G10....then it started....

I now have...

In possession:
ASH-1 BG in sage with tan/black g10
Banned BG AK47 in sage with tan and black g10
BWBMLE
Elmax Active Duty
Swamp Rat KDSH in sage with tan and black g10
3 Scrapyard Hot Diggity Dog Daggers

Enroute:
BG WTH in sage with tan and black g10
CG BB13 in sage with tan res
$250 mystery bag

It is not about what to expect with the blade you purchased, it is about what to expect will happen to your CC once you realize you are hooked.

My first was a son of dogfather I picked up at knob creek about ten or even nine years ago. Still have it. One of my.favorite knives.

This is my first Busse, and I've still got her:

She's so tough she survived a train derailment during shipping! True Story.

No, really she did! :D

Congrats on your first!!!

My first was and is a Ratweiler .25" in Muddy Brown/Tan Canvas. Got it on the exchange. Spent a few days looking at it. A day making a sheath for it. Then every available moment for a while beating the piss out of it. I may have better tools to do the job...but if the Ratweiler works, its more fun.

Mmmmm....... MO Regulator was the first from The Yard, then came a couple M9s from The Swamp and my firs hit of INFI was a B6LE. It was a slippery slope from there. The RMD is great blade, one of the very very few knives from ANY manufacturer that everyone should try at least once. It is not for everyone but the vast majority that handle it are impressed.

It's true that you need to be careful, things can escalate quite quickly!

Mine was the elegant but lethal HG55 that I only recently sold... It was a milestone for sure. What came next was a blurr of INFI culminating in a frenzy at Blade in 2012. There are more great blades coming out of that Ohio workshop than could be fully appreciated in one lifetime.

The quest continues with much vigour and a bank balance on lifesupport.

My first was a TGLB tanker black g10, no scratch that. I think my sarge 7 black G10 got here first, it came from the janitors closet lol. Actually from the store that eventually was shut down, dang I can't think of name

I still have them, thought I'd add a pic with friends :-)

Technically, the Rodent Trail was the first I had in hand. I think I have 10 total now, with 5 more on order, and Op2Wks is about to fire back up... Lord help me :D

First was a Pumpkin/Satin Custom RMD. Second was an ASH1. Still recall that moment of opening the box, and thinking "now that's a knife." Have both of them, and they started a bit of an... ahem...buying spree. At last count, somewhere north of 45 Bussekin, including eleven ASH1's. You have been properly warned. Good luck, Jim.

11 ASH1's wow! Impressive. It would be an easy guess which knife you like best
