Your first busse/kin?

My first was black on black game warden that took me a while to find in stick. Finally managed to get it from the busse company store after months of waiting. Still have it too and I usually take it camping or on short hikes.

Back in March of 2000, was at a gun show in a small southern Ohio town. I'd read about Busse's, and had seen them, but never could pull the trigger.

The then VP of Sales for Busse was set up, and he had some Mean Street "apprentice" blades, that had the fron talon ground off. Well, all of them but one.

Cord wrapped, and a price tag of $100.

Figured if all others have none, and this one has one, had to be a rarity, so that was my first.

I also put in an order for a SHSHII. Never regretted it.

I started small <in size & price>...a well loved LE Game Warden bought off the big auction site about 5 years ago, among other things I used it for throwing practice ....

I was chucking it so hard it would have killed with either end...;)

I was hooked.

Ever since then, I've been chasing the dragon.

How did it hold up to that forceful throwing? :) It feels like a rather stout little knife!

Thanks! ASH1's easy to like. Nearly ideal size/weight for med size blade, and...this is important. Wanted to collect a Busse that has enough variety for collection - but not so many that I go broke doing it! And - one that shows up for sale with regularity on BF. Don't want to collect a model I rarely see for sale. And numbers? Believe Andy has a few more than I do.

I ordered a SHBM, SHSH II, and SHBA back when INFI was new, an thought had all the knives I'd ever need.

Then around 2006, I read about the AK-47 somewhere and stumbled upon this place. It turned out to be a sort of a twelve step programs for addicts. Buy a knife in January, then another in February, then another in March, etc. And when you get to step 12, start over again.

And then Jerry started O2W, and turned it into a 50 step program.
