Your first GEC

68 Pony Jack, to good not to use.

My favorite pattern/configuration. I'd love it if they made another run.
Amen. I don't know if it's my favorite, but it could be 1A, 1B or 1C, etc with a few others. I got my 2nd Gepetto (in buffalo horn) at the Rendezvous, and almost got a 3rd there in beautiful stag, but it had zero walk & talk (obviously a store model) and I just couldn't pull the trigger.

Add me to the "make more #57s" club. Either two blade or three blade with wharncliffe main is fine with me.

My first GEC
Hasn't happened yet. I took another look last night. I clicked on "Yah I like that one . . . looks good" in the general category knife # photo . . . what came up in the photos of the individual knives was, as very often happens, something almost entirely different. Goofy handle color where as the handle in the category photo was . . . say . . . ebony.
Started looking at the trappers . . . gee the spine of the folded blade sure sticks up there doesn't it ?
Just didn't look like a user. Seems like they just aren't for me. Some of the photos here look pretty good. Sure as hell I go to buy one and . . . out of stock . . . out of production.
Out of my radar.

(PS : ordered another Case CV)

My first was a pair!

Feel really lucky about this as I got in from the start, and being a European this was doubly lucky.

This stainless 73 was modded by Glennbad into for me, a much better single-blade. (GEC refused to do it even though I was prepared to cover all costs and donate the spare blade....o_O)

At the same time, this Beaver Pond arrived with an 06 tang stamp. TEN YEARS ago:eek::D

My first GEC was a TC Barlow in Gabon Ebony with a clip point main and a pen secondary. It was gifted to me in a give away by forum member Chief and I loved that thing. Carried it every single day for a year and a half and then it fell out of my pocket whilst I was doing fencing on my property. :(
I have only bought one GEC since and that was a 47 Viper in Hemlock jigged bone which I adore but others will be turning up in my life soon I hope

My first GEC ws a tortoise-shell Beer Scout, supposedly a one shot, as clearly over my budget,

then I decided I'd stick to 15s

but meanwhile I discovered the 71...

then came the 57, 13 and 25 thanks to the generosity of Porch Members :):):)
