your first knife!

My first knife was a tiny slip joint with wood handle scales I found in my father's couch when I was about 10. I don't know the make or model though. Haven't seen anything like it. Seems like it would be a common design though.

The first knife I bought myself was just a few years ago. One of my college teachers gave me a police magazine that had an article about knives in it. I ended up buying the most affordable one I could legally carry, which was an H&K Ally. A couple months after buying it, it deterred a couple guys who were about to rob me at a bus stop. When they saw me put my hand on it, they left me alone. I don't EDC it anymore but I still use it around the house sometimes.

Vic Camping when I was a kid, recently bought my first nice knife. Spyderco Paramilitary 2.
Couple others on the way (hopefully)

My first knife was an incredibly cheap China knife with plastic handles and a "stainless" blade. It was a lockback and it had an integral plastic pocket clip. My dad found it in the ditch in front of the house while mowing grass and he gave it to me. I was 15 then. After the clip broke off I bought a Gerber Paraframe and thought it was the best knife in the world lol! Of course then I started researching knives on the internet, found this place, and figured out that there are much better knife companies out there than Gerber. From that point on I had a very expensive new hobby :D.

My first knife was a KaBar Marine Combat. My damn brother took it & used it in a commission of a crime, it was taken into evidence & i never got it back. Bastids

1st fixed blade was an Explorer brand boot knife from the army surplus store when i was about 12 or 13

no picture of it but my first knife was a cheapo swiss army knife pretty crappy but it planted the seed that grew into a love of all knives.

Bought my first knife in 1961, at Gibson's Discount Store. It was an Imperial "KAMPKING". It was a boy scout pattern. Used that knife from the time i was 8, till i was 16 or 17. Still have that battle scarred old knife. A lot of memories there. regards Henry
