Your largest traditional folder

Buck 110 is my largest traditional pattern for locking knives (Lockback). For slipjoint: Fullsized Stockman (Parker-Frost) and Case Trapper.

Hello all
I've had this knife sense about 1987.
Notice the scratch marks on it... well in early Dec. 1993 I was moving from Idaho to Michigan and somewhere out in Utah the tarp started flapping...so I stopped on the side of the freeway, cut some rope and secured the flapping tarp. And took off down the road....about 10 minutes later it occured to me I had left the knife on the load. I stopped..it was gone... I really liked the knife so I went to the next exit and went back. Luck was with me...I found the knife in the road. Thats where it got the scratches. it had been ran over. Oh well it's still a great knife.

I guess mine is this 5 3/8" bone handled Eye Brand "Folding Hunter" from (approx) the late 60's or so:

Blues, I just got a large Schlieper just like you have. I was surprised to see that your knife had a lanyard hole too, I thought maybe someone had drilled a hole in mine after buying it. I wonder if you have any idea of the time frame that these large folders were built in? The inscription on the blade is a little different than on my other Schliepers. Thanks, John

John, my best info (which comes from, I believe, the same source as your knife, is that the knife is late 60's, early 70's vintage. More than that I wouldn't know.

Dennis Strickland is the best source of info on the older Eye Brand knives since he had a close personal connection to the folks who imported them back in the day.

Buck 110, Marble's two blade folding hunter. My biggest traditional in the EDC category is this one.

4 1/4" stockman, Eye Brand - Schlieper.

I've got an old US made Schrade LB-7 (similar to Buck 110).

I rarely carry it. A bit much for pocket carry, and I feel silly having to carry it in a pouch.

i have a big one! it's not really that big though 5 1/4. i have a chicago cutlery p19(2 blade break through point) i got it on ebay never been sharpened for 85$ it has walnut scales and is very purrrty. i did sharpen it though(i still kick myself sometimes but, i didn't buy it so i could sell it).

My latest score, the Imperial 4622 just edges out my Camillus 886 in length. In weight and sheer brutishness, the 886 still holds the title.
