Your last Buck

This is my first and only Buck, my trusty 105 Pathfinder. It was the first knife I bought for myself. I was fourteen or fifteen. It's been on many hunting trips, fishing trips, camping trips, hikes, sundry travels, and has been used often in the kitchen, too. Seems to be an excellent size and weight for my uses.

I have quite a few that I would want to keep, but the last to go will be this Buck 301 my Grandmother gifted me for Christmas in 1972; she has been gone for 36 years and this is a little tangible connection between us.

I haven’t been around the Buck threads lately but ran across this one today. As I started reading everybody’s choices I thought to myself “I wonder if Bruce is going to list the Stockman. his grandmother gave him in the 70s or one of his 118’s?” Guess I should have read a little farther down to get the answer…

This is a tough choice to make as I have several that are special for one reason or another and some are just too nice to brush them aside. But if I did have to only keep one it would probably be the first stealth run 110 Magnacut or the Jan 2020 112 botm with scalloped cocobolo handle, it is just so nice in hand and the s35vn blade is great.
