Your little suit pocket pick?

I'm a daily suit wearer too. Been edcing a graham stubby, but I'm looking for a new knife for the office. Probably going with a traditional style.

The smaller Sanrenmu ones are nice if you like the modern style. Like all moderns, they are more angular than a traditional, and thus may "print" on your clothes more visibly. Removing the pocket clip (torx wrench usually) helps a lot on this.

The Buck Colleague, Scholar, and Nobleman are all made by Sanrenmu (it's an SRM design, in fact, see their 611 and 723 models). Though modern in style, these have slightly softened contours, helped again if you remove the pocket clip.

For more traditional items, I'd recommend (as others have) a Vic Cadet in alox, and if that proves too large, then an alox Classic.

I got married on Friday, and I carried my Lionsteel Opera Cocobolo in the pants of my tux.

I'm changing full time jobs and will be mostly wearing suit pants so I was looking for a small Knife to put in my pocket and carry around. I wont be doing anything major with it but want a good little knife. I was looking at the Spyderco Grasshopper and also the Victorinox pocket pal/secretary. They both seem to fit the bill. Any input on either or which would be preferred or any others in this size. Thanks

Did you have a budget in mind? You're getting a lot of great suggestions for a small gent's knife, but the prices are ranging from around twenty bucks to several hundred dollars...

For around $60, I think that the Boker Plus Panatela could be a contender. Looks good but I've never handled one so I cannot vouch for the build quality. I'd buy one myself to try but I already have several gent's knives that I know I'd carry more often (doesn't get much better than a CRK Mnandi, imo. ;) )

The Spyderco Chaparral line are fantastic suit knives. Slim, unobtrusive, and extremely well made. I bought one just recently for the same reason and am extremely happy.

I find the Benchmade 530 a perfect fit for my office wear.At 1.88 oz I can't even tell it is there but when I need it 3.25 inches of 154CM is handy indeed.
On the rare occasion it spooks someone I hand it to them and tell them I like it because it is so light in pocket.Everybody I have done that to have been very
impressed by it's miniscule weight and thinness and agreed it was a perfect gentleman's carry!!!

I live in North Carolina...your results may vary.

So 530 for me.Perfect dress knife!!!

+ 1 on the 530. Mater a fact, the Benchmade 940 series anything seems to work well too (I like the 943). With a suit, the trick for me is thin, slender and light. Benchmade does that like a champ. Best part is, you can place them in your pants pocket or your blazer.

check out the cold steel lucky, nice little carbon fiber and cts xhp gentlemans knife, prob the next knife on my list once i free up some money. Perfect little back up knife

Check out the A.G. Russell 3 1/2" Lockback. The 3 1/2 refers to the closed length not the blade length. It is a nice thin, light and classy little blade...IMO.

+1
I have the older 3" version and they are really classy little knives. It's a shame the new 3 1/2" version is only available with the plain Ti handle.

Wow guys thanks for all the help I didn't expect all the input I really like a lot of these knifes recommended! I think I am going to end up with an abundance of knifes to keep in my suit pockets!
