Your little suit pocket pick?

I find the Benchmade 530 a perfect fit for my office wear.At 1.88 oz I can't even tell it is there but when I need it 3.25 inches of 154CM is handy indeed.
On the rare occasion it spooks someone I hand it to them and tell them I like it because it is so light in pocket.Everybody I have done that to have been very
impressed by it's miniscule weight and thinness and agreed it was a perfect gentleman's carry!!!

I live in North Carolina...your results may vary.

So 530 for me.Perfect dress knife!!!

I second the BM 530 it's a great little knife. Mine is a combo blade and some folks don't like them but I do. However you can get it in a plain edge. I also like pocket clips but it can be removed if you want. They hold an edge well and easily sharpened.

As you can see.....the possibilites are infinite. My suit edc's go from Opi, Douk Douk, Chive and a few CA quality 2" CA autos like Pro_Tech.

I am in dress clothes at work and I have tried the following:

Benchmade Griptilian,

Buck traditional (don't remember the model #)

CRKT Prowler, M16-02

Gerber EAB,

Kershaw Zing (US made)

SOG Flash 2,

Victorinox Cadet, Mechanic, and Pioneer

Wenger SI (with bail)

Also tried a super small red handled Vic but I don't recall which one.

The Knife that won out is the Kershaw Zing. Thin enough for dress wear but with it's 3" blade it can also be a decent EDC. This knife gets carried more than any knife I own. The bulk of the Mechanic was a little much for my pocket but it's pliers have been useful so it stays in my tool kit along with the Gerber EAB .

The Cadet is a new addition for me and I have to admit it is a great knife for the office. Jury is still out if it will replace the Kershaw though. Considering the Cadet's cost and availability, it gets my vote as the #1 knife for dress or office use. Very sheeple friendly too.

I like my queen #69 single bladed barlows. Either walnut or buffalo horn to suit my mood. I also tend to carry a vic waiter in my waistcoat for any unexpected wine emergencies.

It depends on what range of utility you are looking for and what price point. I wear suits and sport coats to work and I usually have a Kershaw mini-mojito in the right pocket and a victorinox in the left. The size victorinox depends on how many tools I need. The smallest I'll go is the Victorinox Executive. At 74mm it has a bigger blade then the classic, and it has a good tool set. If I need to do anything more than just light duty cutting, then the 84mm size and up are the way to go.

This would also be a great suit pocket knife... if you happen to be James Bond ;)

I carry my Benchmade 943. Super thin and lightweight, and a pleasure to carry. Only downside is that it's not a deep carry (out of the box.... you can always add a deep carry pocket clip) so it shows that you're carrying a knife.

I carry the Kershaw OD-2 (2.25") as my Office EDC. For office casual and suits, I've taken the little clip off and it disappears in the pocket.

These have been discontinued but can be found on auction sites for under $20.

I usually carry a Benchmade 940 when in a suit or slacks and a sportcoat, with my Sage 1 relegated to business casual days. My office, though, really doesn't care about such things, as long as you don't get stupid with them.
