Hi guys,

What knife that you actually use/EDC regularly have you had the longest? How long have you had it? Is it still going strong? We can keep our safe queens for decades of course but I'm interested in the long running knives you actually use and how long they've lasted and stood the test of time. Pics if you've got them!

My military in m390 for sure, been using it since they were released and still gets regular carry.

Mine is a Schrade USA XT2B that is relatively new to me but was bought used. The previous owner claimed it was in excellent condition, but arrived in rough shape with a mangled sheath. I used it for various "lawn and garden" tasks before stripping the blade coating and having a custom leather sheath made. The same model was carried over to the Schrade import line when Taylor Brands took over, and I actually had the import version before the USA. I liked it enough to track down the real deal. I thought I had pics of it online, but apparently don't.

Somewhere, I still have the Victorinox I got as a kid, but I never really used it, so that doesn't count.

USA Schrade XT2B is the first fixed blade I ever received, for my birthday, and what got me into collecting!

I got this in ’94 or '95 I think and it's in my bag basically everywhere I go. I'd say it's been within arm's reach about 90% of the time. Still works great, only problem is the spring on the scissors snapped about 5 years ago.

Cheers,
Adam

This is my Friedricher Herder, that my parents gave me in the early 1990's. My grandfather and father also carried a Friedrich Herder, it was a very common knife here in the north of the Netherlands. When I was still living with my parents, I used it when doing tasks on the farm. Nowadays I live in a city and don't use it very often anymore.

Sometimes I take it with me when I go playing in the woods. It's still cutting fine.

Spyderco Native 5. Got it a while ago and carried it for a while, stopped, then started carrying it again. I've been carrying it for about 5 or 6 months now, PLUS the 4 or 5 months previous.
I use it hard and will cut anything. It still gets lightsaber sharp wih no chips or bladeplay.
Pics later

Adult - Too many to keep just one...:)

Victorinox Recruit my first knife, I used that thing a lot for at least 5+ years. Still looks good, just needs a quick cleaning in the pivot to help out 2 of the tools so it snaps shut as good as the knives and a good sharpening and it's back in business.

I carried a SureFire Alpha for close to 10 years as my main EDC. I recently retired that knife and replaced it with a Zero Tolerance 300.

Kershaw Mini Random Task. I have oldtimers disease! CRS !! I have been carrying it at least since the late 80s.

This was the second knife I ever owned, I lost the first one and my dad bought me another, it's about 45 years old.
I never used it because it was purposely left dull. It was considered a child's toy knife.

This is the first fixed blade I bought for myself. I got it in the early 70's. I was about 14 years old, I saved up for it and it cost about $10 or $15.
I used it for many hunting seasons , but stopped carrying it when I switched to a folding hunter in the late 1980's.

Benchmade 3550. I've owned it for near a decade, and used it so much the blade needed to be replaced. Shortly after the blade and all of the internals were replaced, the knife was "retired" and is only used when I go skiing (the blade can be locked closed).

My personal knife I made. It's been through a deployment and numerous trips. They are indestructible. IAOknives.com if your interested. If your looking for a folder then "zero tolerance" knives.

At around 12 years old , my 1st generation Spyderco Native is still hanging in there .

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !

For me it's a toss up between a Pat Crawford Framelock and a Bud Nealy Aikuchi.

Both have been Constant Carry Companions for over 15 years.

Had this for eight years now. I've never identified the model, but am currently communicating with Wenger customer service while they try to identify it. This is almost the perfect edc knife as it has an excellent cutting blade and several useful tools while weighing almost nothing and being very slender.

That would be my SAK Classic. I got it in 2009-2010 and it has been on my keys every day since 2012  I took it off my keys for the picture tho :D
