YOUR most expensive production folder?

Tom Mayo TNT or RJ Martin Devestator. They weren't the most expensive when I bought them, but there prices sure went up.

Most expensive I carry is now my Demko 15.

In terms of production knives my Micarta Large Inkosi. However the HD7s of which I own one seem to be fetching crazy prices on the secondary market nearing 500$ US so it may be a pretty close tie. However I got mine for free from a very generous BF member who decided he only wanted traditional knives. I was very grateful so I sent him a couple of higonokamis as he didn’t have any in his collection.

That HD7 was pretty beat up when I got it but I love the knife so much I don’t care, it gets alot of carry.

The micarta Inkosi large is still the knife I put down the most actual dollars to purchase.

Honestly, I don't remember exactly what I paid for the following but they were all certainly in the $400 range:

TAD Dauntless G&G Hawk Edition (This might've been closest to $500, iirc.)
CRK Umnumzaan
CRK Sebenza
CRK Ti-Lock
Liong Mah (Reate -made) GSD
Hinderer 3.5 XM-18 Fatty
Hinderer Maximus
G&G Hawk MUDD Midtech

Honorable mention to the Cold Steel 4Max which while not as expensive as the other knives on this list is insanely expensive for a Cold Steel.

Cost has been inching up, but I believe at this point that the most expensive production folder was about $180 (cost). I seriously resist buying folding knives that cost more than $200. There may be an exception to this upper limit in the coming months; as I say, the cost keeps inching up.

Would be a tie between my CRK Sebenza 25 (plain) and Mnandi (cocobolo). Paid $500 for each used. I did buy an upcoming WE knife last month for a little over $500, but that doesn't count since it's not in production yet. I'd say $500 is about the limit for me, for now......

Those are all customs, right, not production knives?

If I'm going off these silly secondary prices, it'd be my Manix 2 in CruWear/Carbon fiber. Last one I saw was $250. I bought it for $165 new. Which is exactly why I call those secondary prices silly.

I'm certain I've never paid more than $200 for any of my production folders, but as time went on quite a few of them passed that mark on the exchange(even more on eBay).

I paid $350 for a Strider PT 11 years ago. I still have it but I realized that price is above my spending comfort limit. I seldom carry it for fear of losing it. I learned I'd rather have several cheaper knives than one expensive one.

Recently acquired a Benchmade 7505-131. Got a deal to good to pass on. Just under 800. But i really am stuck on the bedlam as an edc. Waiting for a gold or fixed version.

Someone started a thread asking what people’s individual threshold was for a user vs. safe queen. It got me thinking because I don’t let price dictate whether I carry/use a knife or not. I do however limit myself to the production market to somewhat keep my spending under control:) So my question is what is currently the most expensive production folder you own?

I have 3 Hinderer folders in the $400 to $600 range and none are safe queens. They are excellent defensive weapons.
