Since getting this Civivi Governor folder I have 'tried' to kick it out of the pocket but nothing has compared or surpassed it's overall usefulness for me yet...always on the watch but this one has been a tough one to find the 'next' one, which isn't a bad thing :)

My likes;

Blade shape, narrow and ground down thin on the edge with the point at or slightly below center.
Edge starts early, could be a tad sooner but it's good
G10 is grippy but not tearupyourpocket type texture, just right
Guard area secure enough so you are protected from the risk of sliding up onto the razor sharp blade
Lanyard hole, well, it had one but it was through the G10, so I removed and sawed out the G10 so the paracord rests at just below the scales now, much nicer
Clip holds well, deep pocket carry, while the clip end could be milled down into the G10, that would be a nicer feature, at least the mounting screws are flat head and flush with the clip mounting bar, kudos for that.
Blade is D2 and takes a really nice razor edge
Pivot has phosphor bronze washers which I tend to prefer over bearings, just for the low maintenance.

As you can surmise, I am a fan of this folder, so my question to you guys and gals, what knife has held sway over your pocket carry the longest?

Rich, yep SAK's are truly friendly knives and easily my oldest carry in pocket as well, the SAK Executive has been with me the very longest of any knife, riding in pocket within thin, now even thinner, leather slip sheath I made many moons ago.
At one point I had it stolen while in Trinidad working in a glass factory. Left the knife/sheath on the machine we were installing on a Saturday, man does it get hot there! Saturday night I noticed it was missing, come Monday I checked and it was not on the machine. I asked the supervisor in the factory and I saw him rain down fire and brimstone to a group of men. By Wednesday one fellow came up and said he found it in the street that leads out of the plant, I must have dropped it...he said :) but at least I got it back.

Like a lot of people do, I switch it up from time to time, but my XM-18 3,5 has been in my pocket probably 90% of the days since I got it.

I have an Endura going back to 1992 when I saw my first one at a gunshow. I now have more Enduras in new and different steels but the first one in Gin 1 steel is in near perfect shape lock wise. The only thing wrong is the plastic clip on the first generation versions went bad. In my case it's still there but it has lost the ability to hold the knife. Spyderco used to offer a new metal clip mod through warranty but I never bothered sending it.

The bearing action of the lock has gotten smoother and more polished over the years. A knife that gets better and better. Imagine that!

The Bugout is just so easy to carry, that it usually gets the nod nowadays.

I checked out a Mini Bugout this weekend, and if it came in any color but that gawd-awful orange, I'd have bought it.

This Mini Grip with the sheepsfoot blade and aftermarket scales keeps asking to be the next fave carry.

I am not sure if it has been the longest but, my US production Kershaw Zing is what I remember purchasing when I first got back into knives.
Plus, I have two, one to use and another to have with me when I am put in the ground.
