I just got a box of goodies today from BladeMatrix: a TOPS Baghdad Box Cutter and Wolf Pup. A couple of tough little mothers. The Box Cutter is a full 1/4" thick. They should appeal to the neck knife crowd.

Just ordered a Rough Rider slip joint. I know they're China crap but a lot of guys say that for the money they're nice knives. It was $5.50 shipped, so if it sucks, at least I can practice sharpening with something cheap

Beautiful knife man! Congrats on the purchase and make sure you post a few pics when you get it. I personally can't see myself buying a blad like that though. For the amount of $$ it likely costs I couldn't justify using it instead of a less expensive folder like my Spydies or Benchmades. I'd be too paranoid of damaging it!

I'm just back from visiting a local outdoor shop and besides an emergency whistle, I bought a Victorinox RescueTool. I already had a life hammer, but after reading a lot of reviews and seeing a couple of demonstrations, I decided that I wanted that tool in my car too.

Received this one today. It is a Buck 450RD Protégé. Strong, sharp and the handle has a good grip. It is also very light, which makes it ideal for taking it with me on my hiking and camping trips. But I think it will also be very useful for working on the land.
