I love it when a plan becomes a reality !
My second CPM 15V arrived this morning ! Wanted to get a small one before 15V becomes a memory that will only get more expensive.
A Para 3 !
The plan is , was . . . NO IS ! To keep it stock and enjoy it that way since I was so evil the first time and put my first 15V Manix blade in the Midnight Blue S110V handle .

I keep browsing black clips . I don't care about low carry but I could make that black one with the cool khaki colored etching of the Koi fish fit if I filed the holes . The khaki would tie up nicely with the stock handle color . .

Some how a Para 3 SPY27 blue got put in my cart to watch the price as a donor for blue handles . . . next to the off shore made replacement blue G10 handles that have no reviews yet .
. . . or I could just go Black G10 like I did with my HAP 40 Para 3 . . .

what am I talking about ? ? ?
I had my plan . I have the knife . I'm HAPPY !
er . . . I'll leave those things in the cart a little while longer then DELETE THEM !

Stumbled across your post just today (It's a mystery to me how ).
Bought a Drunken for my 65th birthday present to myself .
Better than I could have imagined !

I'm guessing it's because of the price we don't see it talked about as much . I got mine for a good deal well below street price so I can't complain too much. Fortunate to be able to afford one at all. I do hate the clip. I feel like if you wear anything other than dress pants it's probably not sliding into your pocket easily. But I took a torch to it and bent it a bit so it's better now, but other than that not really any other complaints on mine. Love the blade shape on it in particular, though I wish the rake of the blade were a little bit lower or more neutral towards the material you're cutting when you hold it. But that's just personal preference.

Not saying I'm in the same price bracket as many of these people here but $600 is mid price for many here . I see $600 to $800 ALL the time here .
And that is just GREAT !

PPS : got a chance to use it at work today (and at home on some of my preferred test media ) .
DANG ! Spyderco Golden people .

All I can say is if any of you here are not exactly sure how your self sharpened edges should cut stuff when you have done your best :
Buy one of these Para 3 s in 15V with a fresh factory edge and try it .
Yah like that ! ! !
Not polished but man does it cut stuff easy ! ! !

Just arrived! The two best Spydercos not in my collection!

I’ve had a N5 LW & UKPK previously, but never side-by-side. They are very similar. That’s a huge win for the UKPK, because the N5 LW is amazing.



Incidentally, I think I have a preference for the UKPK in FRN. (I ordered the G-10 by mistake lol!)

I really like this one.
It's a nice flipper, perfect centering, smooth action with just enough detent to hold it closed.
Flips open to locked every time with no effort. Excellent finish

I failed .
After a week of use at work and swapping every clip in the world back and forth . . .
and the desert tan G10 started to get dirty (blackish dirt from mechanic work) . . .
and after staring at it on the couch in the evenings . . .
WHAMMO !
I put the BBB 15V blade into one of my Black G10 Para 3 handles
Put on the black / blue / purple clip with Lightning Strike anodized pattern .
********** Now I Can Relax And Enjoy My 15V **************
Turns out desert Tan G10 is just not for me unless I just let it sit and stay clean and not use it .
NOT GONNA HAPPEN WITH 15V I BOUGHT THAT SHEEEET TO USE !

*sigh* I guess I'm a Spyderco collector now...

This makes four. If this keeps up I'll have to sell other knives from my hoard. Propelled largely by the interaction I witnessed in this thread, and boosted by a combination of sales price and lingering loyalty points, I half-begrudgingly spent "too much money" on a knife I don't "need" to "try out" a high carbon Spyder.

I love that it came with a silicone packet as big as a pillow and a very convincing note about use and care for this particular steel. It's currently in my pocket on this wet, damp, wet day. All I can think about is oiling it. I've only used it twice. Is that normal at this stage in my collecting journey? I better get another one in Cruwear, just in case...

Sage 6 Button Lock sprint in CPM-S90V and carbon fiber. This is my favorite release from Spyderco in a few years now! I'm really loving this knife. It did take a disassembly to clean it out, and get it running smoothly, but since then... Just wow!
