I finally received the Spyderco Warrior that I purchased on EB which was shipped from Illinois by PRIORITY MAIL 11 days ago . . . 🤷‍♂️

I bought it to pair with the Pygmy Warrior that was already in my collection:

I like the Warrior better & it's taken me a long time to find one that I wanted to buy for the price I was willing to pay for it.

Excellent additions!

Out of curiosity, how coarse are the grips on the M2? How would they compare to the typical frn grips or the grips on the Waterway (if you have one to compare)?
I don't have a Waterway, unfortunately, but will say that it actually isn't super grippy. It's just the right amount, in my estimation. The "ribs" make it lock into the hand well, so there's that. That is tremendously useless feedback in an entirely unobjective way, I'm aware.

Excellent. I'm really just curious to know whether it will chew up my pockets faster than other Spyderco scales. I'll assume this one is somewhere between Spyderco's FRN and a Cold Steel Voyager.

I can tell you factually that this definitely will not tear up any pockets. I imagine if this knife gets wet, it probably will be grippier, but just as an EDC knife, you'd be fine. It's just a large, super pointy, thin slab of MagnaCut, and I don't think you'll go wrong if you can get your hands on one.

I have a Waterway. a couple of Military 2's & a variety of FRNs. What's the question? 🤔
I think Quiet Quiet already covered it, but my general inquiry was whether the grips on the Magnacut M2 are coarse enough to shred pockets, especially in comparison to Spyderco's frn grips and the super coarse grips on the Waterway.

My answer:

No G10 grips (including those on a Millie 2) are coarse enough to shred pockets. Nor are any FRNs. The Waterway scales could do that but it's a fixed blade that is designed to be carried in a Bolatron sheath.

What do you think? Try the steel out yet?

I haven't conducted any strenuous use with this Mil2 as yet, but I also have a Para 3 in 15V, and it's cut an awful lot of Amazon boxes to absolute ribbons without seemingly getting any less sharp at all. That's pretty wild, so I expect this Military 2 to perform similarly. I am a tremendous fan of this steel formulation that (to my understanding) is your special recipe!

I have not cut with these two, and they get to take turns getting carried. I don’t own any other spidies, but am open to buy another. Micarta scales or no sales! I reinforced the military 2 at the lanyard hole, a weak spot in the design if you ask me. IMG_9756.jpegIMG_9919.jpeg

I just received this rare, vintage Bob Terzuola Spyderco C15P folder to add to my Spydie collection . . .

I bought it to pair with the C15PS already in my collection. These are the only 2 aluminum bodied variations of this model.

There is also a G10 PS variation that I am still trying to find/buy. to add to the collection.
