Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Patience is needed. He quotes 90-120 days from order. It will be worth it! That's a nice one you got! Glad for you.

Sonny14 what a rare and elusive bird right there, congrats on that. They usually only keep that one in the "Hens Teeth" isle;):D A very nice pickup:thumbup::cool:

This one arrived today but daylight was gone when I retrived it. I love everything about this one. Smooth Bone, shield, carbon blade and groooved bolster:cool:

Sorry for the indoor picture but all I could muster for now:o

Those are so nice , I am still wondering why I didn't reserve one of them . Still hoping to get one of the Heartlands .
Just a beautiful knife that will just get better with age .
Oh yeah !! I have a Lambsfoot on order that should be here in about 8 weeks . So don't order one until you see what it looks like . One in Ramshorn !!!
Be safe up there in the cold my friend.

Thanks Harry, I sure like it. We were shoveling off roofs today, not so much due to snow weight but to simply keep the sewer pipes and vents open. It seems to be cyclical (about every 4 to 5 yrs or so) Nanc was not happy I was going back out this season after knee and shoulder surgeries the last few years. But good customers are hard to say no to:o it was a balmy 6° above today but Thursday night's low is forecasted for -25° below:eek::eek::eek:

Think I'll wait until it warms up a bit;) but, a nice surprise coming home and finding the Mustang in the mailbox:thumbup:

That's an incredible knife! How did I miss that reserve??? Absolutely gorgeous!!!

Well Harry that is a very nice scout/camper you got there. Tell us more cause that looks to be a winner to this scout fan. Love the blunt tip curved knife which I believe is a skinner blade?

Thank you very much my friend !!! I gave the details in another thread but I will be happy to give them again.
It was made by KRONENKREBS . A company founded by Carl Julius Krebs in 1866 . Age of this knife is not known by me , but Duncan ( Campbellclanman ) believes 1930 to 1940 . I want it to be prior to 1940 to make it older than me. Stag handle in perfect shape . That is what caught my attention . Overall knife is basically as solid as new . All blades , saw , and corkscrew snap back well . No half-stops . Bolsters are probably Nickel Silver . No stainless anywhere . Liners and pins are brass .
No Vertigris seen . Knife Length = 4.125 /// Main Blade = 3.00 /// Skinner Blade = 2.06 /// Saw = 3.06 /// Corkscrew = 1.88 /// All those measurements are from tang to tip . Width or Thickness across Stag Slabs = .75 /// Very little rust and no pitting seen . Blades need to be sharpened but the saw is still very sharp. Found in an Antique Shop 9 miles from your house in Lake Geneva . I have been eye ballin it for some months and making some an offer and they finally took my offer.
It has Kronenkrebs , Solingen , Germany each over the next and has their Logo , which is shown in the first picture and appears to be a " K " with a Crown over it.
The Main Blade is locking . The Un-Lock button is that Rectangular looking nubbin on the bottom side . Mt Damascus ( Kris ) has a brand new knife very much like this one . I believe he said it was made by Boker , but I might be wrong on that . His has some outstanding Stag on it . That is where I first saw the pattern and liked it because of the Stag . The smaller blade with the Nubbin Tip is believed by me to be a Skinner Blade . First time ever for that type of blade for me . I am not really into Scout or Camping knives anymore , but I am happy as heck to acquire this knife .

This just came in the mail last night! An amazing work of art from W.A. Surls!

First off Thanks Harry for the info on the beautiful camp knife. I myself am just beginning to appreciate the various scout knives out there. I couldn't convince Jim dunlap to make me one, but he'll be making something else real soon.

netguy1999/John I always like it when one of the GA Knifeguild makers have a knife show up on this thread. Black micarta with Ironwood? ....real nice. Which model and specs on this one? The Huntsman/Hunter?

A green bone boker 7588 stockman. In bright light the green shows near the bolsters and at the back. With low light it looks black.

Along with the 303's I like to collect old beat up knives, or more actually old tired stories. There is just something cool about a knife that's been " loved to death" so buy them and toss them on my bench to look and and play with. This one I just got is the best of both worlds for me!

I just received my first Tuna Valley knife. A stag Railsplitter from Crazy Canuck (Michael). As you can see the stag is fantastic. The W & T is an A+ as is the F & F. The blades are all tight. There is a hint of blade rub but I think that's user error and not inherent in the manufacturing process. All three blades are nice and sharp although the main clip can probably benefit from a few swipes on a sharpener. All in all a beautiful knife.

Looking good, Alan! Tuna Valley seems to have a flair for the dramatic when it comes to their knives. I always finding them very striking when pictures are posted.

I like that! Böker do a very nice Small Stockman which deserves a lot more attention here. Sometimes think people can't see the wood for the trees or rather, the knives for the GECs :D I had one like that in Green but gave it away, still have a Stag one and smooth Yellow Bone versions. Böker's Whittlers are also very worthwhile knives.

Regards, Will

I agree that the Bökers deserve a lot more attention than they get. I'm not entirely sure but I think it even was your Appaloosa Whittler that set me on the track of this stockman [emoji4] I also have a Beer Barrel Whittler of which I'm very fond.
