Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Mail dump today. They shouldn't have all arrived at once, but the Remington was a day early (way to go USPS clap.gif ) and the Tribal should have been here days ago, but took a tour of the major cities in Oklahoma (way to go USPS ).

A super glittery Case Tribal Lock, Buck 112 drop point with 5160 carbon steel and charcoal dymondwood handles, and a Remington R103 "Old Reliable" with some nice jigged bone handles. F&F on all three knives is good. The Buck is pretty much perfect.

The Case needs to be seen in person in the sunlight. It would make a great survival knife. Help could see a distress signal from miles away as long as the sun was out

Well these arrived a lot faster then expected. The trapper has a slightly proud back spring when open but other than that really nice. No blade play, good centering. C75 carbon steel.

The Barlow in brown curly Burch is also very nice. 440C steel, flush open and closed, perfect transitions, and solid blade. It isn’t centered, but not rubbing. I thought about tapping it a bit, but the blade is so solid I don’t want to risk blade play to address an issue that isn’t really an issue.

And another Camillus, a first for me, which I took on my walk today and hummed the Wichita lineman:)

I quite like it, enough that I gave it a decent edge and removed the blade play. Should the notch in the wire stripper be sharp too and how does the 29 differ from my 27?

My newest addition!

Moore Maker Ironwood Boys Knife. Don't have a lot of information on this other than it is advertised as made by Walter "Wally" Gardner (Canal Street Cutlery Co-op) of Danbury, CT

Fit and finish is fantastic. My only qualm is that it doesn't have a half stop.

Fun weekend at a local knife show. Picked up a Maher & Grosh Whittler to add to the GEC collection, a fine older Victorinox Floral Knife with aluminum handles for my oldest daughter who has taken up cut flower gardening recently, and an older Keen Kutter Pruner for me to use in the garden as well (Asparagus will be here before we know it :))
