Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I guess I'll show it off here as well. New knife made with old stock 1970's carbon steel blade found in a storage. Long brass bolsters and a stockman frame, thus I dubbed it Rodgers Stock Barlowman.

Got this used Northwoods Scagel yesterday. Got some slight scratches and marks that I will fix. Even though I use my knives and only have a few unused ones I like to keep them looking "fresh" (LOL - what every that means). This has a great feel in the hand and by no means a "delicate" piece of hardware. A hefty blade to be sure and really great stag.

My GEC Rendezvous 2021 pickups. Not nearly as many as a lot of the folks there were able to get, but definitely the ones I really liked the most!! They really had a ton of SFA options available and the ticket system they used made it where everyone was able to get in on some of the sweetness! The stag 78 was a pickup for a friend who was wanting a 78 pattern and a gentleman outside the Rendezvous had a few available at a great price.

Love that smooth bone TC! I also looked at that stag 78 last weekend, great knife at a nice price.

This came in the mail today. I am very, very pleased.

Wow! I would be too! Is there a model number or name for it? I really like Tom's work.

Hi Gary, thanks for your comments. Actually, my knife was made by Dave Shirley in 2005 (Northwoods Knives, Gladstone, Michigan). I think that the Scagel's were made by Queen.
Shirley's company, Bowie Corporation, came to be around 1985. Through that enterprise he became known for his Marbles knives, blanked by Queen Cutlery and finished by Bowie. He's especially proud of collaboration with Mike Stewart, who now heads Bark River Knives, to produce the only Marbles knives ever to feature a date stamp.
Moving to Gladstone, Michigan in 2003 and selling Bowie in 2004, he sought a name for his new company -- and it was Stewart who suggested "Northwoods." Shirley liked it and the name stuck. Northwoods began making copies of William Wales Scagel's classic knives in 2005. In 2009 Dave sold the Northwoods brand to Derrick Bohn of KnivesShipFree.
