Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

A very nice CASE plain Jane Barlow, Tru Sharp blades (came toothy sharp) and blades are solid and centered in the well. Black Delrin covers, very nice fit and finish, no light peering through the back springs, nice stamped bolster and all under $50 delivered to my door

Nice - you made out on that deal. I have what looks to be the same one, same year, but the Delrin looks more dark brown than black. Sample variation I guess?

I’ve been hunting a stag 62 for awhile. I really love the pattern. I had a snakewood but gifted to a great friend earlier in the year and have been missing it. Got this off the exchange Monday. Love the gnarly, smoky stag!

I’m usually not the biggest fan of stag, but WOW. When it’s done right, it’s done right. and yours? It’s done right.

Yes.... I foolishly let my stag go with the rest of my collection of 62's.. and have been looking for one since. I was working out in the yard, and came back in to find that you had snagged this one. You got a great one there. Possibly the best stag I've seen on a 62 from this run. Gotta go grab a paper towel to wipe the drool off my chin... 😁

I sold 2 new shiny SAKs and bought this old 84.
It arrived while I was working on my bike, when I ran it up to oil the chain I worked on the 84.
Cleaned out the gunk and old oil, dressed and squared off the flat driver,de burred and lightly sharpened the awl.
Gave it an oil,it’s really perfect as a daily worker now, love it.

Johnnythefox Johnnythefox Nice job there, satisfying. Like those old tobacco tins too:cool:
I was thinking today every one of us blokes must have an old tin from a elder relative.

I hate smoking, but loved the smell of the pipe tobacco on the left.
That was my godfathers tin,he served with the RFC and then the RAF in WW1.

On the right my Grandads tobacco tin he served with the Royal Navy in WW2 on north Atlantic and convoys into the med Gibralter etc.

Thanks fellas! I’m usually on the other side of “dangit, I just missed that knife I’ve been wanting!”

Ironically, the other knife I’ve been waiting forever to snag is a 66 of any kind. I would have been all over that stag 66 if Pàdruig Pàdruig wouldnt have snagged it!!! Can’t wait to see his pictures. It was a beauty.

I'm glad you scooped up that 62 - if I didn't already have one in pretty nice stag, I would have been envious, for sure.

Many moons ago, I had a nice 66 in Stag. Since I had not quite developed an affinity for the material, I foolishly let it go to fund a different knife at the time. I have regretted that ever since and have been seeking one to replace it for a long time. Seeing that one on the Exchange the other day was like getting an early birthday present - being quick enough to nab was just the bow on top. It should get in tomorrow I think and then I am looking forward to getting acquainted with it.

In the spirit of this thread - I just got this in today. My first 14 TC (thanks again, Mark! Ramrodmb Ramrodmb ). It's nice to add to my Barlow lineup. I think I just need to find a Tidioute #25 Barlow to round out the assortment, an example of every type of Barlow bolster GEC has used.
