I don’t know if that is ironwood or walnut, but can’t you imagine a shotgun stock made out of that with an oil finish.
Love the cocobolo on that one! Very nice addition there. I have a feeling you are going to enjoy that one.Just got this "user" in great shape.
Strong pulls and loud 'snap'... Love it!
Been hunting one of these since I was introduced to GEC.

Thank you, Todd.Yep, great pickup John, congratulations!
Oh, I sure can. It’s actually cocobolo and apparently used a lot on 1911 grips and rifle stocks. I seen a couple of pieces with blonde highlights in the GEC 2021 15 boys knives that were real eye catchers.I don’t know if that is ironwood or walnut, but can’t you imagine a shotgun stock made out of that with an oil finish.
Wow -- never seen Cocobolo like that before. Really different and interesting look! Here’s an example of those 2021 GEC boys knives with blonde.

Have been looking to add a Lick Creek Boy's Knife, and feel lucky to have crossed paths with this SFO. Love the buffalo!

Thanks!Sweet - love the blade combo and the bison shield!
Nice score. That is one of my favorites. So I was fortunate enough to pick up a 74 in plum jigged bone awhile back and I’ve been hesitant to carry it because I find it to be too nice. So I added this burlap and it will go straight into the carry rotation. Such a wonderful sizeView attachment 1757147
Happy for you to find the Cripple Creek SFO my friend . I think you should know that the Shield is Glued On and not Pinned . I always carry mine in a slip just in case it may just fall off . Carry it in good health . They are nice little knives .Have been looking to add a Lick Creek Boy's Knife, and feel lucky to have crossed paths with this SFO. Love the buffalo!
