your next knife is going to be a........

Tomorrow morning the mailman should be bringing me a Queen cocobolo D2 whittler. By the way, in January, Queen will discontinue cocobolo in favor of bird's-eye maple. I can't wait to see that.

My Calypso, Jr. JUST arrived vis the big brown truck!! WOW!! This sucker is wicked, wicked sharp!!! I am so happy I bought this one!! It is so comfy in the hand!! This knife is just right!! I am really impressed with it!! I am very happy that I purchased this baby!!

Benchmade 635, which follows the custom that should be in the mail quickly.

Had a 635 & let it get away. :o

Just the questions I am wrestling with right now. Currently up for consideration are:

  • Kershaw Rainbow Leek (titanium oxide coating) - I already have a plain Leek that I really like, and that coating has always just facinated me. Only problem is I would be affraid to carry it much for fear of making up the surface.
  • Spyderco Yojimbo (blue handle) - Just saw this one the other day and was facinated by the unique look plus I just love Spyderco knives in general.
  • Spyderco KIWI (bone handle) - Just a darn pretty little folder. What more reason do I need?
  • Queen Large Stockman (black cherry) - I've been itching for a new "traditional" folder lately, and I think this is the one.
Right now I'm leanging toward the Queen 'cause I'm feeling in a rather "traditional" mood, but by the time I place my order it could still be any of them! ;)

I've just ordered a catalogue from Murray Carter. I'm thinking of having him make up a Whancliffe-bladed neck knife for me. I also need to get a new folder. I'm thinking of a satin-finished Emerson Mini CQC-7B with green handles.
