Your ONE favorite TRADITIONAL of ALL time - GAW

Opinel #8 Carbone. There's nothing knify I feel I can't do with it, and would truly be happy with it as my only knife.

Thanks for the contest and opportunity, Mike!

My absolute favorite, it was my grand pops knife.

Don't know much about it, has USA stamped on the clip blade and patent numbers on the pen. I love the true old patina. If anyone knows any information on the knife id love to hear it. Great thread BTW very generous!

Oh it's on top of some light reading too :)

My choice would have to be this Camillus. Sounds corny but it still makes me smile when I think back to the day I found it at a show just sitting in a plastic bin with assorted other knives. It also kickstarted me on acquiring and learning more about Camillus knives so, in a way, it really is "the one" that made a difference.

Thanks for the chance Mike.

Back from the abyss to say; "Count me in!!!"

Case CV 62009½ Barlow with red, sawcut, bone, covers. Note the prominent bone marrow canal on the pile side as well as a faint one on the mark side.

Definitely this knife. If I could only keep one of my knives, this one wins without a second thought. I lost it in the vineyard where I work, and I was bummed out every minute until I found it in a patch of grass (very fortunate). Then I left it at a cafe on a table (I cut a muffin into 3 pieces, to share), but I know the owners, so after a phone-call they kept it aside until I got back the next day.

Here's hoping that a third indecent never arises! :D

Bravo dewingrm! Nice shot too. Thanks for a real entertaining thread Mike!
